Ok- walk me through sw AP and getting DC tickets

Our trip is coming up fast!

We are planning on sea world on April 21 and discovery cove on April 27.

I have 4 kids, hubby and my parents.

We have 3 sea world tickets. I'm planning on buying one AP for parking perk and also discounted DC. So, if I buy the AP online now, how do I get the discounted DC tickets? Do I do a reservation online and pay when we get there? I won't have a physical AP card will I? Should I just buy my AP at the sea world gate?

You should be able to call Discovery Cove to book the passmember rates - you don't need an activated AP to do the booking. You need to activate the AP before your DC day so you can show them the AP at check in. That's what they told me when I bought an Aquatica pass for the passmember DC rate.

Gina has a sticky that shows the dolphin swim and day access rates with an AP.

I would buy your one AP online, then call DC to book your Discovery Cove admissions at the special passmember pricing. They will be able to verify the purchase of your annual pass by your Seaworld order number (which will be emailed to you immediately after the transaction is placed) which confirms your eligibility for the discounted pricing.

You *will* have to activate your SeaWorld AP before your DC day, though. If your Seaworld park day is not scheduled before your Discovery Cove day, you will have to drop by the park to at least activate your annual pass in advance of your DC reservation.

I'm not sure you're aware, but your Discovery Cove admission has 14 days of Seaworld and Aquatica already in the price.

Also, if you do Discovery Cove first (which may not be possible for you), then you can add on photos at Seaworld at a large discount (just the cost of an addon day) after you purchased your DC PhotKey. You cannot add DC photos onto your SW PhotoKey.
