If you cary a small back pack, will they allow you on the rides? Are there any restrictions on such a thing? I want to be sensitive to post 911 security concerns.
Yeah, what Steph said. Be ready when you are entering the park, they will want to look into your bag. If you are ready and have it open, it will make things easier for you and other guests.
I love being able to carry my bag with everything I need in it. We each carry our own bags. It is great.
PS - You may want to get a waterproof bag to put it in if you are considering taking it with you on Kali and Splash Mountain. Kali has a bin in the middle, but it is not guaranteed your stuff will not get a little wet.

You might want to make sure your back pack doesn't have a lot of pockets in it. When we went the first day we took a back pack that had atleast 10 pockets in it and we had to open them all!! For the rest of our trip we used a different back pack with fewer pockets. Ya, just have the pockets opened up ahead of time so you get through faster!

For Kali, I always pack a 30 gallon trash bag in my backpack and slide it in and TIE IT. If you aren't in front for Splash Mountain, I've never needed it covered.
My handy old backpack from college still works for me just fine. I had a small Scotchgard incident with it that helps it to repel water really well. It has only 2 zippers and it's perfect for carrying in the parks. We pack everything inside in ziploc bags, to keep the items easily to find and easy to see when the bag is inspected. I love that old backpack. It's been a really good one. I bought the thing on clearance for $3.59 at Walmart about 15 years ago and it's still in almost perfect shape. Maggie

We forgot to bring bags with us, so we used the laundry/dry cleaning bags from our rooms to put over our backpack. It worked fine. The bottom got a little wet (from all the water floating around the bottom), but the rest was dry. And we were the soaked family!
