OK this scrap book junkie has now become a snob!

Awhile back I ordered what I thought was a great Disney scrap book well I never got around to working on it well last night I pulled it out....EEEEEWWWW! paper is too flimsy, the stickers that came with it look cheap...so guess I will put it away and give it to DD next year to scrap in she'll be 7 and love it! It is all acid free so that part is good!
But I did get 2 Disney pages done to go in my CM books! I guess I am hooked with CM! LOL!

LOL - I remember when you ordered that, you were so excited! I remember thinking that it wasn't for me, but 'each to his own'...

I have got loads of similiar stickers that I bought at WDW last year - well, I did, I gave most of them to my dd in the end!

I guess this is one of those learning experience's that we all have to go through!

isn't that funny? I couldn't wait to get it and start of it! Thank goodness I have been too busy and never got around to doing it. the cover is cute and I think my DD will just love it! Thank goodness I didn't pay a lot of money for it! LOL! Live and learn but who would have thought I would become such a "snob" so quick!

I think we all become snobs, in our own way, very quickly.

Cheep is good for your first book. You are still in the learning process, but after that .....

I am sort of a sticker snob. They have to be a certain way. They can't have any white around them. They can't be too bright or too shiny. I think I might be a paper snob too.

When you realize all the time you put into making your scrapbook, you soon begin to choose quality over quantity.

My dd started scrapping at 7 too. It's so hard to sit back and not tell her what to do, design-wise. But I just let her do it and occasionally I'll say, " You could try it this way too." I want it to be her book and she is so proud of it and it's something for us to do together without her brother or Dad.

Ooh, yes its hard staying out of kids' creative process....

Anyway...I'm a snob too. Paper, albums and stickers.... Actually I'm not a snob, just very particular about quality. I will honestly say I hate the Paper Pizazz papers! Unfortunately they are the only Disney ones available. And stickers...well...I'm just particular about design...its a personal taste thing. I'm also really into things coordinating. I used to get a lot more stuff from a variety of scrapbook sources...I love the Susan Branch stuff that's out there....but I have had such a hard time getting things to coordinate that I eventually went to using primarily CM products. I managed a few nice layouts with my Susan Branch papers and stickers....but its always such an effort to work out color schemes.

Every time I pull out my last WDW album I get upset....the thing just is not well made. The cover is cool...its the Millenium hologram one....but the lettering is already rubbing off and the hologram is starting to peel up.
