Ok the real deal on Palo ressies

I am still confused! (I know thats a shock ) On the Magic are palo ressies taken at palo or rocken bar d? Do you need to go in person or can you call up? Are ressies taken for just on the hour/half hour or can they be for like 6:45? The reason being DS wants to go to the lab at 6:30 (they are at dinner until then and he does not want to eat with them) and if I made ressies for 6:30 I would be few mins late due to lab drop off and getting up to Palo. I don't want to wait untl 7 as DS only wants to do lab until 8:30 and that is cutting is close. What to do? Would the lab let him in at 6:25 even though they are returning (in route) from dinner at that time?

I believe I have read that on the seven day you do go to Palos to make your ressies. You can not call them in. If you are in a cat 3 or above, this is something you get with concierge service, and they will take care of this for you.

I had thought you go directly to Palo but then I read somewhere that no , now you go to rocken bar d. Also I had read you can call to be on a wait list????

for the wait list, maybe that is something for main or late dining??? not sure about this. Also they may have a wait list for Palos in case anyone cancels their ressies...

We just returned from a 7 day on the Magic and we had to go to the Rockin Bar D to make the reservations. This was for the High Tea, brunch, and the dinner. We went about 15 minutes before it was scheduled and they were already taking reservations. We missed out on the High Tea and were told to check each day the tea was held to see if someone had cancelled. We were able to make reservations for the brunch and dinner. There may be a wait list for the dinner and brunch but I think it's the same situation. When we arrived for our dinner, a gentlemen was in front of us and he was asking if anyone had cancelled yet. From what I can remember, you do make the reservations on the hour or half hour but you might talk to them about your request. We found them to be extremely friendly and accomodating so you might be able to go on the quarter hour. Don't miss it. It's worth it 100%. We had a wonderful meal and would do it again.

On our recent 7-day Western, 10/12, Palo reservations were immediately taken at 12:00, as soon as we boarded, at Rockin Bar D. When you enter, they give you a #. When your # is called, you go up to the table and give your reservation request.

Once you got your nunmber how long did you have to wait to be called? You did this the day you boarded? My question is DH and DS will be anxious to get up on deck to the festivities and I wonder if I should just do this on my own. If the wait is not too bad then they can deal.

They had changed the system from our other 2 cruises. On the 10/3 Wonder, ressies were taken in Rockin D. As you entered the room, they asked which night I prefered, and I was given a number. Then I proceeded to the bar area, where they had 3 attendants (one for each night) The attendants flipped over a number, and when the number matched your number, it was time to go up and see what times were available. Unfortunately, no one explained this system to me, so I just walked up to the bar area, and waited to be served next, as there was no one in line, just people being waited on. Then a member of the staff came over and snapped that "I needed to sit down, I was blocking the numbers from other people" I almost left because I figured if these were the wait staff people, the quality had really gone down since my last 2 cruises, but I was getting ressies for my family so I hung in there. After several other people who came in after me were served (they wanted other nights), I was finally able to make the ressie--took me about 15 minutes.
