Ok, so i booked with universal vacations, and got the 2 free ticket thingy. But, on further understanding with the posts. I read yesterday I should have booked through Loews. Because, through universal I will not get credit, for my stay at RPR. Ok, so today I figured I would cancel with them, and rebook with Loews. But, then I read Macraven' post about the ticket inclusive deals, may not be the best offer. Right now, my package with 2 tix, king standard, comes to 1076.

So, I looked up how much with aaa. It comes out to 192, per night. My question is. If, I do this rate obviously tickets will not be included. So, how would I go about tying the tix that I must purchase into the room key??How do most people do this when they have to buy thier tickets seperately due to aaa, discount. DO you do will call, and if so where do you pick up your tickets ? Or do they just allow you to add the tickets, to your room once you buy them. I really dont have a need for the tickets in hand. I could just wait to pick them up, but where, do i? And, I havent really done the math, but I am assuming. I will save maybe 50, to 60 dollars with the aaa rate. Do you all think it is worth it. Or should i just keep the rack rate, with the inclusive tickets?TIA

Edited, to add my dates are Oct 24-28th

The tickets have nothing to do with the room key. You show your tickets at the front gate and you show your room key to get into the express line. The two are not connected.

You pick up your tickets (if you buy them online and choose kiosk pickup) at the kiosks which are before the gates at both parks.

You need to price everything out individually to see which is the better deal. It looks like you will save at least $100 buying things seperately.

Oh Damo, I was thinking that with the two free tix I got with the package it would be on my room card key. Like they do at the mouse house, but if i was going to just recieve two paper tickets at rpr at check in. What is the point of not doing aaa.

Damo, thank you much!!

If you want to save money, then stick with the AAA. It might even go down, so watch for any changes and contact them if it does change.

i have the PAP and the AAA.

for the dates i have in october for this year, (and the same for the last 3 years), i have found that my better discounts have been with AAA for the discount.

i have never in 10 years booked thru loews.
i book direct with universal resorts reservations.
i always get my loews points on the room stay.

i made it to platinum so i know the stays are qualfying.

when i reserve, i give the ressie person my loews number and it is on my reservation.

you do not have to cancel with UO resorts and rebook with loews direct for credit on the qualifying stays. give your Loews number is all you have to do.

Mac, when I was trying to give my number through universal, i called twice. To try and make the other sales associate apply it. They both would not take it, and told me to just bring the card on arrival day. So, then I read others booked through loews, so i figured just cancel and rebook to make sure I get my gift.I I did it. So hopefully, everything is a go.

Another side question. Is it true, that that room can not be prepaid? I read that somewhere, I just cannot rememeber where or when. I rather pre pay my vacations. Please tell me this isnt true.

I'm pretty sure that you can not prepay for your hotel. Only the deposit, which is the first night, is paid ahead of time. The rest is paid upon checkout. You could figure out what the cost will be then pay that amount on the credit card you will use . . . that's kinda like prepaying.

I just booked RPR last Sunday and she took my Loews number. You can give it to them when you get there I would imagine.

When I call for reservations I always tell them I have the entertainment book, AAA and Loews card and just give me the best rate.

i always have my number (loews #) taken. they have to document i have the platinum for the free suite.

the procedure is they take a one night's stay as the deposit.
i sometimes like to pay my room stay for the entire time in advance.
the reservationist can only charge the one night stay but if you insist, they will give the the direct line to accounting. you have to call accounting then in order to pay for your entire stay i advance.
they will take it but only at your request. it can be done.

i no longer have that number but you can obtain it thru reservations.
