Ok.... So why can't I use the new codes?

Can someone give me the reason? We are booked 1/28-2/4 at WL in a Deluxe w/ 8 day park hopper w/ dining. Yesterday my TA tried twice to use the new codes YRE, YRD (darn I can't remember if those are the right codes letters) to get us the park hopper discount but was declined by Disney. She said that it has to do with our Deluxe room and that quite often you can't use the codes on a Deluxe package. Does that make sense? Is she missing something or is that really the case. If so.. that sucks.... just because we paid more $$ for a Deluxe room doesn't mean that we dont' need discounts too.

The deluxe rooms go very quickly and if they aren't offered in the discount then it can't be applied

That's true with the junior suites. Have you considered the villas? You might be able to get the discount there or go with 2 standard rooms.

I was also booked at wl for 2/2 to 2/6 with tickets and dining (courtyard) I was able to apply the code yrd without a problem. I booked directly with disney so I was able to call myself. I hope you can still get the discount. ::

It may just be because the discounted rooms are all booked up already.

That particular room type is not included in the discounted rates.

This for 2 adults. You didn't say who was in your party. Price: $2,722.28

A deluxe room didn't come up, so mabye they are all booked?

I have a ressie for a wing room at CR and was also told I could not apply the code - there was no availability. I'm wondering if it is hard to apply codes to the deluxe resorts in general, not just the better rooms.

Since some of the deluxe resort rooms seem to go fast, I would say that out of any of the rome categories, deluxe would probably be the hardest.

Did you try YQS (MYW) or YQX (MYW + Dining)?

These codes were added after the YRD & YRE ones. I got them from Mousesavers website.

I'm sure it's the category of the room booked. I'm at AKL in a standard room with the package plus dining, and I was able to get the code applied. I know of at least 2 other people at deluxes also who got it applied, So, I don't think it's just the deluxe hotels. I'd guess that particular room type is not avail. or booked up.

I was able to apply the code to my package I already had booked at the Poly. It didn't work at first until I asked the CM to add the Plus option onto my tickets ( we only had the hopper part). Once she added the plus, it came right up. That may have been your problem. Of course, she did say how fast the rooms go for these discounts so maybe they are just sold out now.

You could try one more time, adding the plus this time.

These types of codes often do not apply to suites which is essentially what a "deluxe" room type is at WL.
