OK, so how many pounds of MUSHROOMS do you eat in a year?

Zilch!
They rank up there with onions for me. I will pick them out but at least I can live with the flavor they leave behind.

Background: As a kid my mothers favorite food was steamed onions w/ steamed mushrooms it makes me gag just thinking of all those hours I sat staring at those horrid things!

I would guess that I eat 15-20 lbs of mushrooms a yr
I buy 1o lbs of frozen organic mixed musrooms 3-4 times a yr to cook with.
figure I eat at least 1/4 of those, plus any other mushrooms I eat.

Well, I aint no hobbit, and I only eat mushrooms on steak when I go out to a specific resturant....so doing some quick math here......

2 tbls of mushrooms, per steak
X 3 times a year I go to Alaskan Pete's
Divided by Pi * cake - what falls off the fork = 4.5 TBLs of mushrooms a year!

Between DD4 & myself we probably eat around 40 POUNDS per year While DD will eat them cooked or raw, I will only eat them cooked but we LOVE them! I usually buy at least 1, usually 2 12 oz. pkgs a week!

I have no idea, but I love mushrooms. I have some breaded ones in the freezer, and I need to buy some portabella ones to make sandwiches with. Yum....
