Our kitchen remodel is coming close to completion.
We replaced our old back door with a 6 foot wide sliding glass door, and it opens up to a small deck-- 6 feet across, 3 feet of which are steps. The other 3 feet form a tiny deck-- big enough for s single chair.... or a Christmas tree!!!
I really want to find a Christmas tree of some sort that I can put there, so that every time I walk into the kitchen in the evening I can see it. Silly, I know, but I'm determined to do it.
Now, that's where my vision stops. Obriously, it's got to be a tree appropriate for NY winter-- so it has to be sonw, ice, rain, wind and cold weather appropriate. But do I want a lifelike prelit tree? A spiral tree? Something else? And how would I steady it outdoors on a deck, where I can't put stakes into the ground? (There are spindles on the deck, so on at least 2 sides I could tie it down. And there is an outdoor outlet.)
I'm open to ideas. I have no idea of the budget... except, of course, that we're both teachers and have lots of other Christmas stuff to buy.
But what do you see in that space???
