My parents are trying to get it done - and my dad is FRUSTRATED. I think - from what I can tell - that have done all but upload their vax cards. I told him to take pictures of them and send them to his email and I will help with that when I get home Friday. I hope that's enough time - they cruise the same day as you but on the Dream.

FYI I was on the Fantasy cruise last week, we booked a week before departure. We still got cleared in time for the cruise. It usually takes 1-2 days after you upload the documents for them to clear. If it hasn't cleared in that time period, feel free to call Safe Passage directly (they answer with a live person and are incredibly friendly). They said that they could flag the account for expedited review at that point. In addition, even if the person doesn't get cleared in time, the person can bring all relevant documents with them and they can show the documents in person. According to the representative I spoke with at Safe Passage, this has happened before and is apparently not a big deal.

If you want to take a little bit of anxiety out of the way, get tested a few days beforehand (with a PCR or an at-home kit). If you're negative, it is unlikely that you'll test positive at the port. If you do test positive, well you know ahead of time and can cancel the cruise.

Correct. We also booked a week before our trip and when I called DCL because everything was still pending safe passage and their online check-in dock check. The DC rep was very adamant In saying that even if everything is still pending or even decline ( My mom’s was declined at first because I had an issue uploading her second page the yellow vaxx book) to still come to port and bring all your paperwork with you. We were than laughing over the fact there are actually people that go to the port with no paperwork. I kind of figured out that safe passage and the online check-in is not an additional layer to deny people boarding but just simply to speed up the process is while at port.
For the record though we booked The Friday a week before our a Monday sailing. I uploaded everything you did online checkin Over that first weekend and everything was cleared with a bit of hiccups by Sunday before our sail date. Safe passage clearance comes really the day before often

We’re also on the January 3rd Magic cruise out of Miami. Our Safe Passage info was validated within 24 hours, so no issues there. However our DCL info is still pending after over a week which is a little concerning. I’m sure it will get approved soon, but it didn’t take this long on our last cruise.

Our DCL page still says pending. It did the same until a day or two before sailing in September, so, we are not particularly concerned with that.

Let me put you at ease somewhat.

I booked a DCL cruise 2 weeks ago just 6 days from sailing. We booked testing 2 days prior at port for our 2+4 kids (since they can't be vaccinated and thus required to test within 3 days) and got everything else easily done. We showed up day of cruise, did our test then, and then go the all-clear so we could board.

DCL is 100% better than it was back in August/September.
