Ok Poly people, what is going on with our resort, anything we can do?

Well I can't be the only one who is having problems using any codes for the Poly, can I.

We are booked into 2 rooms at the poly at rack rate at the moment, and dh does not want to stay anywhere else. Is anyone having any luck? I didn't have any luck with my AP or the general package code this morning.

I guess my next option is to try every morning to see if someone has cancelled at the 45 day mark and also wait for the room code only.

Crazy, i have never had a problem with codes and the poly before, i am flabbergasted.

I think this is across the board, not just at Poly. This December will be our first trip paying rack rate in the last 4 years. There are a scant few discounts available anymore.

First I tried to get Poly 1-9 of December...no luck. They I tried to get Poly 5-9...with no luck. Yep, seems to be no luck with Poly at all. Guess I'll stick to AKL and CSR this vacation.

Well even though some people are getting Grand Floridian we are staying put at rack rate at the Poly. We have a whole bunch of ADR's there and we just think the Poly will be good for the 2 little ones we are bringing.

Poly LV was available for AP discount for my dates. But it was only available if I put in for 4 nights. I only need 2 night & when I put that in none of the deluxe resorts were available. The more nights I added onto my stay the more deluxe resorts that were available. This was for Veterans weekend.

We just got 5 of our 7 days discounted for the poly with an annual passholder rate. However, now we have two reservations ( 1 for 5 days & 1 for 7 days) because the non discounted two days were bookends and the CSR didn't know how to merge them. We will probably end up with three reservations in the end. I worried about losing all of my ADRs if we change the reservations. We booked it online this morning and she said we must have got the last one because it wasn't showing up on her system. It was $80 off the regular rate. Also there were not rooms availble for the two non-discounted days. I'm hoping this will change as people cancel their ressies and move to the discounted resorts. We are so frustrated that we will never buy an annual pass again! The last time we stayed they automatically just gave us the discount and now its like jumping through hoops!

I was on hold and saw someone said that there was nothing for Poly Dec 9-14.
I stayed anyway and my dates are Dec 9-13 for 3 rooms (magical gatherings) and I saved $216.00 per room.!!

My hubby and I absolutely LOVE the Poly . We booked a GV room 12/8/07 - 12/15/07 about 2 months ago at rack rate with DDP, 7-Day PH for 2A and 1C. Tried to get AAA discount...none available.

Called this morning to see if new public codes were available...nada for GV rooms . Could get LV room for $400 more, but it just isn't worth the extra $$$.

I'm still just because I get to go to Disney and stay at Poly during Christmas season and see all the decor. We are so excited...

The Poly is usually booked quite tight during the Christmas season. I'm surprised there were any AP discounts available for December so it's great some folks were able to take advantage of them.

I'm planning a stay at the Poly for Christmas '08 and while I'm hoping there will be discounts, I'm not planning on it.

I am just curious. We book Poly yesterday for Dec 14-22 at AP rates. We are paying 259.00 + tax for 6 nights and 305.00+ for last 2 nights. Is this good or not? Forgot its garden view. Did get the 75.00 dining card though.

Hi all Poly lovers! have you guys been on the website and seen the link "lighter crowds at special times of the year" on the first page? If you click on that link, it'll bring you to special weeks during the year, where there is a discount. I priced the new package and that package and came out cheaper for the times we're going which is the 8th-15th of December. we were going to pay rack rate of 4700 or so. now, from the 9th to the 15th I have 7 day park hoppers, the dining plan, and tickets are for 2 adults & two teens for 4250 or so. So, it pays to do your homework on that website! At least it gets a little bit off the edge! See you all the 2nd week of december at the poly! we love that time of year as well.

We were blessed to have gotten the Disney Visa code applied to our already AAA discounted Poly GV room. Also, the next day, I checked the mail and found that I had a Pluto pin code too, which was still available for booking at the Poly GV at the same rate as the Disney Visa rate.

During the process of trying to get switched over, my AAA TA had to call back a couple of times because the deal was ping ponging between being available and then being unavailable. Keep calling, you might get lucky! Maggie

I was under the impression that if you had a package booked and your dates fell in the timeline offered by the codes, you got to apply the discount to your existing package. That is exactly what I did.

Well I asked about that situation, we already had the rooms booked could we just apply the code, but i guess that code was available to only a few resorts and the poly is near capacity during out time frame so no go for us.

We split our ressies with my AP giving us a discount down to 305 for 4 nights and rack rate the last 3.

So with 2 rooms we are saving some $$$.

I'll take it !!!

I am certainly disappointed that I can't use a code to get a discount for the Poly, but I do understand it. We are going to be at WDW during Thankgiving week....if MK is open until midnght or 1 am every night, you've got to know that the place is going to be very crowded. If a resort is alread sold out, there certainly can't be any discounts offered, because no rooms are available to discount.

I also see less and less discounts. But, that being said I never pay rack rate at a Disney Hotel. I do however, have to stay where the discounts are. For this trip I could not get the Poly, but got the Yacht Club. I will keep trying till I get one for my next trip.

We loved the Yacht Club! I was tempted to move over there for the discount, but we don't get to WDW very often and we really wanted to try a new resort.

I am sure a code could be applied, if there is the availablity for that code. For each discount code, there is only certain room types and a set number available.
