OK now that I have booked AKL concierge I have a ? for the concierge pros....

I know that the concierge staff will contact us prior to our arrival concerning PS's ect...however we are booked through DU and they will also make PS's. Should I let the concierge staff make them (I've heard that you get better seating and time slots if they are made through concierge) or DU?

Hmmm... well,

Concierge will most likely contact DU directly and DU will give concierge your requests on your behalf.

It is better if Concierge makes your PS's ~ tell your agent at DU to definately go through concierge and to not do it themselves through Disney Dining.

If possible ~ tell DU not to book anything for you that you will handle it with concierge yourself. (thats what I would do)

Closer to your departure you can email concierge a nice letter introducing yourself, include your names, arrival date and confirmation # if possible.

Give them your requests ~ they will book what they can and keep note of the days other requests can be done, they will email you a personal itinerary.

It is nice to deal with the concierge ahead of time ~ by the time you arrive you feel very comfortable, like you know them.

You can also make your room requests know... savanna, non smoking etc... 5th floor, 6th floor.. any any special things you might want done (ie) gift basket etc..

We also booked through DU for Nov/Dec trip. Last week we received a packet from AKL concierge containing a welcom letter, hotel information and a pamphlet asking for information for any ps or other things would like for a trip.
