Just reading another thread and was wondering what was different? Is it a better view or what? we are so new to all of this. I would like to try to stay at AKL in July 2010 for my youngest sons bday and just wondering.:confused3

Sorry if this is a dumb question but curious after reading another thread.

Thanks!

AKV is only DVC resort that offers villas that are concierge level. These villas are located in Jambo House only and they consist of five 2 bedroom lock-off villas for a total of 10 villas maximum if they are each booked as separate 1 bedroom units & studio units. These units require the most number of points compared to other studio, 1 bedroom or 2 bedroom units at AKV. The units were formerly AKL resort rooms that are refurbed into DVC units and will include daily housekeeping, evening turndown service and access to daily food & beverage offerings in concierge lounge & also services provided by concierge desk staff such as making dining reservations, etc. ( all other DVC villas do not offer these things )
Some units face Sunset savanna and others face pool. Here is link to thread that has more info on concierge level DVC units & what view units have in Posts#3-5.

In addition to above, room sizes are the same as savanna and standard view rooms at Jambo (and thus they are smaller than Kidani). Three of the 2BR lock-off concierge overlook the sunset savanna, the other two the pool and though you can request savanna view it is not guaranteed, i.e., don't do concierge if your heart is set on savanna view. You can also get (for an additional fee) the sunrise savanna tour (availabe to persons staying concierge in any resort)
