If you have long enough hair, try a bun (tight or messy). Then you don't have to worry too much about your hair.

Also, have you thought about talking to your hair stylist about treating your hair before your trip? I know lots of ladies/girls with fizzy, curly hair get keratin treatments. Hair HQ (Aveda) offers a botanical hair and scalp treatment that makes my daughter's hair look so much healthier and shiner (she has straight hair, but may be good for curly, frizzy hair). http://www.establishmentwi.com/2011/10/20/aveda-botanical-hair-scalp-therapy-free-offer/

I know a lot of folks love the Brazilian Blowout for taming frizzy hair.

If your salon offers treatments you can get before hand that may be best. Just mention to them if you do plan on being in the pool with chlorine so they do not use a treatment that will not react well to chlorine. There are treatments that us can still swim in pools.

Aveda Anti-Humectant can help.

My hair is usually up.

We love Aveda products!

My daughter uses "It's a 10 with Keratin" as her daily shampoo for the past year. Her Hair HQ/Aveda salon stylists says it is a great shampoo. She doesn't have frizzy hair but her hair no longer wakes up with a birds nest and she doesn't have to flat iron it before school (she is 11). We just bought her Aveda Pure Abundance (I have used before) for DD to start alternating between the It's a 10 and Pure Abundance to hopefully add some more volume.

Have you tried It's a 10 for frizzy hair?

I have long thick hair that gets frizzy within a minute or two of walking outside, and can't say enough about the Brazilian Blowout. I have one done every 6-7 months and it's seriously fuss-free hair. I wash, condition, put in a serum (I like Moroccanoil), and whether it's air-dried or blow-dried it's frizz free and stays that way.

I agree, I live by disney and my hair has been in a bun since June:) otherwise it's just a frizzy mess.

I have very long hair that is susceptible to frizziness in Florida and I typically wear my hair up in some form. It feels good for it to be off my neck, but I don't like it to look the same in every vacation picture either. (Plus I wear my hair in a bun everyday at work because I have to take a hardhat on and off all day)

I find that FrizzEase hairspray works wonders. It comes in a travel size at our local supermarket, which is why I tried it. I'm hooked now. I don't use products on normal days, but on vacation, this is a must for me.

I'm curly, curly, curly....and I don't "let it go" or I'd be frizzy, frizzy, frizzy! :lmao:

I keep it long, go for a good layer cut before, wash my hair in the mornings to keep me cooler, and then put in good product in so it dries not frizzy. Often I throw it in a clip off my face as it dries but not always. My hair is pretty thick so if I keep it clipped, it will tend to dry in waves instead of curls. It will also still be wet that night even 12 hours later. If I have a big dinner to do that night, I twist it into a bun in the morning and let it dry that way so my curls turn in to soft waves around dinnertime.

My kiddo has the same corkscrew curls so I usually do the same for her (plus we overheat easily), but can't with BBB. She's going to have to do a night before wash with light product those days.

It's all about the products, really. :goodvibes

I prefer my hair down for pictures... so I will try to start the day out with it down then I do a messy bun high up on my head like the teenage girls do, hah! its very cute though and I *think* I like how it looks, I'll find out once I see pics lol!

PS this is the best stuff on the planter: http://www.sephora.com/curl-conscio...h=us&lang=en&gclid=CNbxv6fcmMACFSMV7AodHCUAww

I've used it for 10 years, tried other products and i always come back to it. Gives me really pretty curls.

My hair is really long (reaches my butt)... I wear it in a ponytail or a braid or a bun at WDW... not worth the hassle for me to do anything with it :thumbsup2

Aveda Anti-Humectant can help.

And, see, I use the humectant to go along with the humidity in the air. When in the south I just go with it, and my hair goes crazy and I LOVE it. I spent years with just weird hair while living in dry California (the fact that the only choices growing up were Dep gel and mousse didn't help) so I adore the humidity and like to trap it in. :)

That said, I am also a sweater (that word looks so wrong, LOL) so my hair is in a bun or in a braid that starts high! The less hair hitting my neck/shoulders the better!

I have curly hair that gets insanely frizzy in humidity. I know this is absolutely crazy, but I use KYJelly before my mousse. It's active ingredients are pretty much the same as another product that runs something like $30 a bottle (I can't remember the name of it). I only use about a quarter size amount and I have long, dense hair. It definitely helps AND my curls clump much better using it.

Ok the product the KY Jelly replaces is Curl Keeper. I can't post links yet, but if you google "KY Jelly curly hair humidity" it will show you I'm not totally insane :rotfl:

Last year I had the "mom bob" (inverted bob) and my hair was a complete mess. nothing I did helped keep it from puffing up and getting frizzy. So this year I took the plunge and chopped it all off! Actually its not as short as I want it....my stylist and I fought about how short to make the layers but before i head down to Disney in Sept I'm getting it cut shorter cause I can't stand dealing with my hair in the heat and humidity!

I'm not recommending chopping off your hair but I think it was the only solution for me. My hair is weird...if i use products for curly hair, it gets straight, if i use products to,straighten it, it curls up!

I wear my hair in a braid, a low side pony, bun, any which way but down! My hair is frizzy in humidity so down is a bad thing, plus with all that sweating you do, loose hair feels awful.

I went in early February and wore my hair down everyday ;)
My hair is curly and can get very frizzy and I really didn't have much of a problem with it at that time of year.

Another vote for ponytails. I like my pictures with hair down as well but my hair looks pretty bad after a couple hours in the parks. I've always said my hair hasn't learned how to travel. You should see it when we cruise, scary!!!

pulled 1/2 (front) back into a clip....then I bring hair rubber bands for 1/2 way through the day when I am sweaty and just want ALL my hair up.

I have curly super frizzy hair I usually wear straight.

First September: Left it curly, it looked positively awful! I hated every pic. Tried to pull it up and just ended up with a frizzy halo.

2nd September: Japanese Thermal Straightening (not the Brazilian blow out/keratin thing, its different). I wore my hair down in rain, heat, humidity and it was perfect, straight, and worth every penny.

This year we're going in January so not a worry - I"ll probably do a mix up and down and whatever I feel like! Looking forward to it :)
