I like Canon.

We want a little camera.

Have been looking at either the

SD 880,990,or 1100.

Any input on what one you like better?

Even though I'm used to DLSR prices, I had to admit was a little shocked at how expensive this little dudes are.

How about any problems ie:warranty or such? Being so little, any thoughts on getting an extended warranty? I usually dont, but there are times for some reason my gut tells me to (like my HDILA HDTV, took the warranty and needed it )

We have a SD1100 as an alternative to our SLRs. It does ok in nice bright sunlight (although it has a tendency to wash out bright areas) but in anything less than good light it has trouble. Macro capability is very good, flash only goes about 8'.

We treat it carefully and expect it will last a long time.

We usually carry Rebel Xsi instead, less weight than 40D and much more capbility than SD1100.
