This will be our first trip as a DVC member. In past trips our room key served as our room key/park hopper passes/room charge key/DDP card.

What do we get when we check into the the DVC villa? Do you still get a card for a room key? Can you still have charging privledges connected to you room key? We are getting annual passes instead of hopper passes, is that a separate card or piece of paper? Is the DDP connected to the room key?

Thanks!!

Annual Passes will be a separate piece of paper.

Your dining plan credits will be on your room key. Yes, you can still do the charging privileges.

Well your question is - what is an AP?

Annual Pass.

It is a separate ticket. It cannot be added to your KTTW card. Your dining plan credits will be on your room card.

So KTTW card = room key card + dining entitlements
Park entry = Annual Pass

1. Key to the World card 2. Yes 3. Yes 4. Yes. AP is seperate card 5. Yes.

Hope that helps! ;)

The annual pass is a separate card. There are two levels regular and premium. The regular is basically a park hopper pass for an entire year. The premium pass adds Disney Quest at DTD and the water parks. At check in you will still get a key card that will open your room, DDP can be added to it and with a credit card given at check in your can make charges to it in the parks/disney stores. The annual pass unfortunately can't be added to your room key like the park hopper passes could be. So you will have two cards; the annual pass to get into the parks and your room key for everything else. Also you can get discounts at some stores and restaurants with your annual passes.

Hope this helps

thank you all for the super quick replies!
Now the first poster said it was a seperate piece of paper....it's really a plastic card, right, like the room key?

Have you seen a regular MYW ticket that's not on a KTTW card -- looks exactly the same. Small card - smaller than a credit card by a little bit - but made out of Tyvek material/paper. They're pretty durable.
