Ok ladies, how often do you wear make-up on the cruise??

On the four day no make up at all. Probably on the 7 day I will do some for dinner, at least for formal and semi formal nights.

I wear makeup every day of my life. I feel naked without makeup and earrings! My makeup is pretty waterproof (and so are my earrings LOL), and I don't wear a lot, just enough to make me look a little healthier than I usually do. I have very blotchy skin from some childhood illnesses, and it makes me feel much better. I never go anywhere without eyeliner and mascara, but sometimes that's all I wear (except for sunscreen, 12 months a year). I might leave the house (or my room) and not do my hair, but I never leave without doing at least a quick bit of makeup.

there was a thread on this a month or so ago; someone mentioned having their eyelashes 'tinted' for cruising - it's like dyeing your eyelashes. well, i'm having it done tomorrow as a trial run for our Nov cruise. I have short fine eyelashes so I always want mascara on -- from what I read tinting them is like waterproof, smudge-proof color for a few weeks.

during the day i'll be mostly makeup free - unless i'm not swimming. on sea days I hope to hit a few of the Art of Entertaining seminars, wine tasting, etc; so i'm sure i'll have a bit one. basically anytime I think i may be in a picture :teeth: LOL

Every day for me. Even at home....everyday. Just a habit. Plus it has sunscreen in it.

The lady who cuts my hair does this and she said she has a ton of clients who do this for cruises. Then you don't have to put any mascara on the whole time!

That is a great idea!
And it is good to see what other women do when it comes to make-up. I knew it is a personal decision (like wearing makeup everyday), but since I have never gone on a cruise, I didn't know what is practical and what is not. I knew that on water days, or water excursion/beach days, it would be useless.
I think I will every evening...and maybe some days depending on what we are doing....I like mine really light too, so I don't think it should be too much of a nuissance lol. Thanks everyone!

I wore makeup the day we boarded the ship and from that point on, only for dinner/night activities and even then it was lightly done (except for formal night).

ok - i survived :) actually the process was very very easy

she asked me to come back on thursday for a touch-up; she said sometimes it takes a couple applications (included in the price where I go); plus i'm fair skin and light little eyelashes. i'll post a before and after later this week if anyone wants to see the difference. i'm definately having it done for our cruise.

I had my eyelashes tinted once (blondie here!), but what I realized was that it didn't do anything special for me b/c my eyelashes need that extra curl that mascara gives them :) I've considered having them permed, but frankly I won't commit that kind of money to eyelashes.

I ALWAYS wear makeup, but it's very light. I put on spf moisturizer, some little dabs of under eye concealer, powder, mascara and tinted lipgloss (sometimes I fill my lips with lipliner and then add lipgloss b/c that lasts forevah'!). I would love to go without makeup, but I don't have the eyelashes for it, and my lips have no color. Takes less then 2 minutes. I am definitely growing my hair out so I can just twist it and clip it everyday :) I may need color on my face, but no way could I ever do the high maintenance grooming every day.

Another one here for the makeup every day. I am not one for a lot, though, by any means. Use some light powder and then some eye-makeup but nothing heavy. But for dinner, I do try and spend a little more time getting ready just to make sure that I look okay...afterall that' when most of the pictures are taken!! princess:

The only time I wear makeup on the cruise is for Palo...but then again, I rarely wear it back home either. My motto is "What you see is what you get!" ;)

I can't really remember, but I definitely know that I wore make-up every day for dinner and the show. I also think that I wore some cover up during the daytime, except on the last day, I was too depressed to bother with any of it. :(
