ok, just what exactly is a guavaberry???

I've been hearing some good things about guavaberry coladas on these forums. What is it???

Wow, I must have missed those posts. We were in St. Maarten in 1988 and bought a bottle of their special "guavaberry" liqueur down there, and I must say we were underwhelmed. It might be good as a mixer though.

Not sure what a guavaberry is exactly, but I got a guavaberry coloda, and it was DELICIOUS! I highly recommend trying one. You also get a cool souvenir cup.

I've never heard the term "guavaberry" used. But, here we have what is call waiwi in Hawaiian and translated as strawberry guava. its a tiny guava fruit actually about the size of a small strawberry.

I'm not sure, but might be the same thing. Only small kind of guava I know about.
