I know I've said it before (and I'm sure I will bore y'all with it again) but I just love my camera! Today was harrass the baby birds day at my house. we have 3 baby robins and one left the nest today and was just roaming around the deck so of coure I'm out there at a safe distance with the camera zooming in, taking video... And more importantly, got some fabulous shots of the baby! Now I'm going to have to break down and upgrade to photoshow 4 so I can add in video to the slide shows... maggie

I am looking for a new camera for my birthday. What do you have and why do you love it so much?

Dyan, I just ran a search on her camera as I remembered her posting about it before. It's a Canon Powershot s1, if I read correctly. I think that's the one she's been raving about. Always the enabler, that Maggie!

Thanks...I was just looking at the Canon Powershot s2, I guess it is the newer model. I am excited to hear good reviews!!! :cool1:

awww...would love to see the baby bird photos. :) We have 4 baby parakeets with the oldest just over 2 weeks and the youngest a week old. I have been trying to take some photos of them....at least the oldest two look more bird-like while the youngest two still looks like pink aliens. :)

you are correct sweet maxine it is the canon powershot s1. I couldn't even begin to tell you how much I love it. :) (of course I can try) it takes fabulous pictures, I LOVE the zoom and the image stabilizer and oh how I adore (ADORE) the continuous shoot feature. I have awesome pictures of kate in the air irish dancing and at the pool jumping in.. And I am one of the weird people who actually like my digital zoom in combo with the optical zoom. zooming to 13x, 16x and even 20x I have gotten some great shots and the pictures printed out great at winkflash. Now I just have to work on figuring out the movie mode.... but seriously, it's a great camera. :) maggie

I just got back from WDW on Sat, and I uploaded a few pictures to show a friend of mine.

From where did you take the castle and parade picture? The train station??? We'll be there for MVMCP and I thought it would be nice to get a picture of the Christmas parade with the castle in the background.

Yep, the train station. We watched Spectromagic from up there, it was a very nice perspective.
