ok inspired by the weird sanwhich thread, did you ever drink pickle juice?

I have a niece who ended up in the dr's office once after drinking a whole really large jar of pickle juice when she was like 5yo. It didn't agree with her I guess. LOL.

Ok, abusive mother that I am...

DS said a bad word and I made him drink a spoonful of pickle juice!!

It worked, he hasnt said that word since!

When I was younger, the favorite snack on the sports bus to and from away games were Nacho Cheese Doritos dipped in mustard and drinks of pickle juice! It was a very good combination!

have to admit i have tased it,, but,, after making pickles and knowing how much vinegar, salt lime and other stuff,,,, goes in there,, yeach,, dd however loves it, she'll finish the whole jar after the pickles are gone anyway.. but then shes a nasty ol "girl" anyway he he he ..:)

No I don't drink it..............but I do use about 1/3 cup in my potato salad to give it a little kick!

I used to love it! Then one day my mom told me it was bad to drink pickle brine, so I stopped.

I also used to sneak drinks from that jar of "fake" lemon juice....what was that called...??? You could add a little of it to water and turn it into lemonaide. Also used to come in a little plastic squeeze bottle shaped like a lemon. Mmm...yummmm :)

I used to as a kid. We also cut up carrots and put them in the jar after the pickles were gone. After a couple days of them soaking up the juice...YUM! Plus I do like dill relish in my tuna salad. :teeth:

I never drank it, but my husband mixed it with a bunch of other gross stuff when he was a kid and told his cousin it was beer. My husband was a little devil when he was younger.

Yes pickle snowcones! Didn't realize they were only a thing of the South though. I love to freeze pickle juice in ice cube trays. Place a tooth pick in them to make a good frozen treat. Our local skating rinks actually sale these.

Fried dill pickles are wonderful!!! Love chips dipped in pickle juice. The dill chips are good but depending on the brand you don't get enough of the pickle taste.

A frozen dill pickle is a great help with morning sickness.
