I really appreciate all the help that I got about flying from IND. We did finally get a better fare out of Nashville (it only took a week, too :) ) so we have decided to fly from there....

now, I need to scoop on flying out of nashville! Park & Fly hotels, long term parking costs, etc.....I only have 99 more days, I want to be ready!

How long is your trip?

I have not found much that does Park N Fly, but I have not spent a lot of time on the effort.

My favoirte parking is Flight Park. http://flightpark.net/

They run about $5 a day for parking over 5 days which is cheaper then either long term or economy at the airport. They do a great job, have nice vans and I have been very pleased with them.

I did find this also. It is for the Amerisuites on Royal Parkway which is pretty close the airport $79 a night with 10 days of parking. This hotel should be fine, not luxury but clean and not in an unsafe neighborhood. http://www.parkstaygo.com/nashville_park_and_fly.html

The Nashville airport is pretty easy to deal with.

We fly out of Nashville because of the better fares. While I don't know of any official park-and-fly hotels, I do know that the Sheraton Music City allows guests to leave their car in their lot and take their shuttle to and from the airport. We asked several times of different desk clerks to be sure because we were staying there on a Priceline reservation. We saved a bundle on hotel and parking costs!! This is a very nice hotel.

I have another Priceline reservation at the Wyndham Nashville Airport hotel next month but I am not sure yet whether they will allow us to leave our vehicle. We'll just ask nice while we are there.

Parking rates per day at the airport itself range from $6 economy, $8 long term, and $20 short term.

Good luck,
Peggy

Edited to add that if you get a bargain Priceline hotel room, it doesn't sting as much to pay for parking!

we are going to be in Orlando for 9 days, total (Saturday-Monday). the $8 per day parking kind of surprised me, which is why I thought I'd check into park & fly. we are only 2 hours from BNA and our flight isn't until 11:15 local time (we are an hour head of Nashville) so it isn't like we have to leave at the crack of dawn to get to nashville.....if we could get a cheap room at the Sheraton, that would be great. starwood points, a place to park :)

I'm definitely going to check out those shuttle links, too. thanks!
