Ok Im petrified

A few of us decided to have a small Halloween party at our childrens elementary school. A small private school. We figured less and less people go trick or treating so why not have it at school for a few hours to give the little ones something to do. Nothing to extravagant, but some crafts, food, games whatever. 2.00 per person, including parents.

We had over 200 people respond

Ive still got about 80 goodie bags to make and cupcakes to make for decorating!!

Wish me luck on this one, DH is out now buying hotdogs and soda!!

How wonderful!! I know this seems overwhelming at the moment but you obviously found a need and you're working to help all these kids and parents have a safe and fun Halloween.

After it's all over, sit back, relax and pat yourself on the back for doing something so wonderful for your school community. Many of those kids will have fond memories of this night for a lifetime.

I wish you luck and much pixie dust and will be sending up prayers for a wonderful evening for all - including you!!

Ok well I survived the party!!

It went well. We had a huge turnout. DH and my friends DH manned the concessions, hot dogs, chips, soda, water candy apples. They did great. the activities we set up for the kids went ok. We just need more parents to help out and organize better. At the last minute we had a DJ come to us and work the party for $50. (party was only 2 hours) That worked out very well, the older kids were all dancing. How come no one ever stays to help clean??

Im sure we will be doing again next year.

It sounds like everything turned out great even with the large turnout. Now you can rest. It does seem that when clean-up time comes around everyone has something else they MUST do.
