i have a couple questions.

i read in the sticky thread above that the pontoon is $150.00, but a page here says $250 includes tax, pop, water, snacks.....(i called, it is $250)

anyway, i would love to reserve one for either x-mas eve or x-mas night. i know it's way early and i can't even call until 9-25, but am wondering if anyone here is interested to share. you can pm me.

how does payment work for this. you pay while in phone with cc?

then if you share how do you work that out? does the person mail me their portion? if not, what if they decide not to go, and you could have let others share, youre stuck.

$250.00 divided by 10 people comes out to $25.00 per person.

oh, our group is me 38, dh, 34, dd 7.

thanks!

We're not going for Christmas, but I can answer your questions about payment arrangements. ;)

You have to reserve the boat with a credit card, but they don't charge you until you get to the marina for the cruise.

We got a group together for a cruise in October. I charged the full amount of the boat to our room and everyone paid their portions to me in cash. I left the amount of the tip up to each passenger. Our captain was great and we tipped him a total of $50.

This is the way we looked at the whole thing from a no-show standpoint:
We reserved the boat for our family, with the understanding that there might not be more than just the 3 of us on the boat. We opened up our other spaces to our fellow DISers, and they were on the honor system to be there for the cruise. Everybody had my cell # in case they needed to get ahold of me. We didn't want to take any money in advance. It worked out fine.

I divided up the cost by 10, and charged our passesngers each 1/10 of the cost. I figured it was easier to set my price up front, and DH and I knew that if we didn't have a full boat that our cost would be higher. BUT not as high as having the boat for just 3 of us!

We met some terrific folks and had a very enjoyable cruise! Good luck getting your boat and a group to go on it! :thumbsup2
