I got 400 dollars from Share the Magic program... how should I spend it? We're staying at BCV and have already purchased DDP. We are 6 (3, 5, 9, 9, 44 and me (48)).

Spend my money!!!

It would look nice in my birthday car. Which, as it happens, is coming up!!! :thumbsup2

If that doesn't fit your idea of a good way to spend it, you could take the girls for the princess make over and the boys for the pirate makeover? Rent a boat and go out on the lake? Cirque? Save it for the next trip?

Go to the Japan Pavilion and Pick a Pearl.
Rent a platoon boat.
Have a Photopass photo session.

We used a referral bonus (on a gift card) for an Illuminations cruise once. The other time we had one we used it towards our dues.

There is a woman in the lobby of Beach Club who paints beautiful family portraits. Its expensive, but I would love to have it done!

I'm not sure if you can get 4 or 6 faces done for $400...but it would be a priceless heirloom for your family.

or you could give me the money! DUH!;)

Give $100 to an agency to help those suffering in Japan; give $50 each to two local charities; spend the rest on your family.

You'll feel great . . .

Buy your DW one of those wonderful Dooney & Bourke bags from the Disney line. They're beautiful and she will love it(and you)! :thumbsup2

I agree with giving some of it away to a Japan relief program or somewhere else. Then I would use it for something meaningful like a photo session or a nice meal as a family or even an Illum. Cruise. I personally wouldn't just blow it on BBB or something like that. But that is just me.

Kids grow up much too quickly. I'd do the Photopass session. Maybe add some look alike or co-ordinated shirts.

I would just use it for souveniers. Let the kids shop 'til they drop at World of Disney. Just not having to say, "no" would be fun! You'll feel good going home knowing you won't see a Disney charge on your next credit card bill!

As nice as it would be to give it to a charity, I think it must be spent on dues or at WDW.

Honestly, let your family decide. Use this as a lesson on economics since it's like found money. Give them some options, let them know what each thing costs. Your 3 and 5 year old may not understand the concept well, but it's never too early to start teaching them to spend wisely. Not that you can't have fun with it. But letting a 3 (or 5 or 9) year old just blow $100 on souvies just seems wrong to me. The souvies are not going to last long, but the memories of a cruise (spending time together) or a photo shoot is more meaningful. JMO

Well you are going to have to pay for tips on the dining plan and with 6 or you that will add up so I would use a chunck of it for that. I would say probably at least half. Then you only have $200. Pay for the Photopass CD (100 I think). Now you have $100 left. Everyone picks 1 $15ish thing...$400 will go fast in Disney.
