Our September trip is coming together very well. My twin DDs will be celebrating their 10th birthday on a 3 day Disney Cruise at the end of the week. But first we have 4 days at the parks.

I have our resorts booked, the cruise is booked, my daily plans are put together, now all I need are our reservations. I am not worried about any of the places except for the Breakfast at Cinderella's castle. Everyone says it is SO hard to get in! We have never been, and I have a feeling that after this year, my twins won't be as 'enchanted' by the whole thing as they would be this year (they are still little girls, but I see the kids in the grade ahead of them and they seem so much older in the 11-12 year old range).

SOOOOOOO....we need reservations for the third Tuesday in September. The statistics show this is a slow time of the year at the parks. Does that help? Does this make it easier to get in?

I have to wait until July 18th before I call, I won't 'relax' about the trip until this is settled. If it isn't going to happen, I want to try for the Princess Breakfast at Epcot---but it isn't the same as being in the castle!

Anyway, is there less competition in September, or is it going to book up in 5 minutes like everyone says it will?

Unforunately, regardless of time of year Cindy's usually books up in mere minutes. With the addition of the new Fairytale Magic package, expect parks to be more crowded than usual in September with people taking advantage of the unprecidented savings. So, be prepared to start calling a few minutes before 7 AM EDT and pray.

OK, I will be dailing at 2 minutes until 7:00 am! Gesh! What we don't do for our kids! I hope they appreicate all the work I have put into planning this 'perfect' trip for them.

Thanks for the advice,

start dialing at 3 minutes to 7am & keep hitting redial until you get connected - recently called in ps for august & got thru at 6:57 once - maybe i got lucky that time, the phone lines opened seconds earlier - as far as getting crt in mid-september, you might just have a wee bit better chance, since school is back in by then just about everywhere (but don't underestimate the popularity of the crt ps - as the other poster stated, it is in demand all throughout the year) - good luck!

I started dialing at about 6:53 and just kept hitting redial until I got in.

you HAVE to try for EVERYDAY you are in Orlando. If it isn't exactly the day you want, keep trying, and rearrange everything else. It seems easy to get reservation when you are successful and impossible when you have tried unsuccessfully for a week!
Good luck.
ps. we're eating at Cindys on May 15th....not our first choice, not our second choice....but hey we're going!!!!!!:Pinkbounc
cant wait.

And don't hang up if you get put on hold. It will only put you farther back in the queue. If you are on hold past 7:05 (Eastern Time) odds are you didn't get it.

I found it a bit easier this year to get Cindy's compare to the past years. I was thinking it could be due to the credit card charging rule. Give yourself many days on your trip to make a morning for Cindy's just in case you are not lucky the first day.

For this trip, we have three families vacationing together, so four adults got up at 3:50 am Arizona time to start making the phone call for Cindy's. Two of us got through and got reservations the first day we got up and two did not. We picked the time we liked better and immediately cancelled the other. The prior year before the credit card rule started, it took me two mornings of getting up at that ungodly hour to get the reservation. My friend who was travelling around the same time took both of us getting up at that ungodly hour FIVE days to make her reservation.

Good luck in your pursuit for Cindys. I hope you get it!

I wonder how many others do this.....have many making reservations and then they cancel some of them. Should I try again later that day to see if people did cancel because of this (if I don't get in that morning).

We only have 2 mornings we can go, we only have 3 days at the parks and the first day is breakfast at AKL (a must!), and then we go on the Disney Cruise. So I have two days I can try for.

HEY......what happens if my 60 days falls on a Saturday. They aren't open right? The first 90 days hits on a Friday, but if I don't get in, I have to wait until Monday, right? I bet Mondays are terrible!

westjones - Actually WDW dining is open 365 days a year, so if your day is a Sat or Sun, you'll have to call on those days.

I know know the stats of people vacationing three families together with parties of 12. All you can do is try and keep trying for the cancels.

I do wish you the very best in getting your breakfast. You could make the Princess breakfast at Epcot just in case you can't get Cindy's? At least it would be with the princesses and I have read it is a nice breakfast!

Good luck!

Is the Princess Breakfast at Epcot only able to be reserved at the 60 day mark too? Is there an online chart somewhere that show all the character meals with how far in advance you can reserve.

If I can reserve the Princess breakfast first, I might do that and then change to Cindy's if I can get in.
Thanks,
DJ

Thanks! I am going to reserve this one first! That way I can 'relax' if I get that and know that my girls will have a Princess Breakfast one way or another.

Is this one just as hard to get in? OH the stress!!!!!!!!!

Oh My! In just 11 days I can reserve the Princess Breakfast at Epcot. I am going to do this! My 'date' to reserve is on a Sunday.

So I can still make reservations on Sundays, right? Are the times the same? They open at 7:00 am EST?

If I get this one, I will be able to relax so much more! Then I will have no doubt of a "Princess" Dining Experience. It will just be a matter of which one (and my girls don't even know there is such a thing, so they won't be disappointed either way, in fact they will be thrilled).

Thanks for all the help!

Alright, I have another question for you guys :D .

If I get up and start calling at 5:55 am Central Time (which is 6:55 Eastern time) for Cindy's breakfast and I can't get in do I have a fairly good shot at getting into the Crystal Palace Breakfast instead?

I thought about the Norway Princess Breakfast, but that would mean changing the way we plan to visit the parks and it became too complicated (we only have 3 days there).

Thanks again for all of your advice. I just found out that ALL MK restaurans require you to wait until 60 days before hand anyway, so for either one Crystal Palace or Cindy's I would have to wait until July to find out if we get in.

DJ,

I just did this today for our trip in July. I had two days open for this and today was the first to try...

This is what I did... anal, but it worked!

At 6:45am, I logged onto the computer and brought up an atomic clock (I googled Atomic Clock). So, there, right in front of me I had the exact time (to the .3 second!). At 6:55am I started dialing. Closed, hit redial. Kept doing this. They answered at 6:58:45 (atomic clock!)... lol... I immediately said CRT Party of 3, July 7th Latest sitting.. she said, hold on... I waited and got 10:20am! (I wanted this to be a brunch).

Then, I talked to another CM later in the day and she explained how they take the calls! She said they usually have their screens up to CRT and party size... the first thing you should say is your party size, time, then Cinderellas... the idea being that WHO ELSE will be calling at 6:58am!! So they already expect CRT...

So, say, "Party of 4, time, Cinderellas"... and that is the quickest way to get a ps. She said in the time it takes people to say the DATE (given 60 days out), Cinderella's Royal Table Breakfast (already a give at 6:58am)... ps's are already gone!

There ya go... good luck!! I was off the phone with PS in hand at 7:01am... and she said I was lucky to want the later sitting!

Keep us posted!

Karen

LOL! I printed out your instructions and I'm ready. Now I just have to wait for the 60 day mark! Thanks! If it doesn't happen, I will be the only one disappointed because my girls don't even know they have such a thing. But what a wonderful surprise if we get in!

So I will let you know. If it doesn't happen, I will try for the Crystal Palace one, and if I don't get either, I give up!

Thanks for the advice, it is good to know exactly how to 'ask' for this.
