After much emailing back and forth the person at sharholders club who told me i COULDNT combine the discounts - is now backtracking and saying that i CAN combime the discounts...hurrah! BUT......there is alwasy a but isnt there.... all the passes must be for the same family, living at the same address with the same surname.

My oldest 2 children are from my first marriage and as such have a different surname.

How can I get round that? I want to buy 5 Proximity passes in advance of our visit. (id like to buy 6 but the limit is set at 5 isnt it) I presume i can buy them in advance?

We all live at the same address and all 4 are my children and of course i have their birth certificates and passports.

For those of you who have managed to get your 15% shareholder club discount on AP's.............
What proof did you have to give/show to support your application for AP's??

Im beginning to wonder if 15% is worth the aggravation

I'm going to be doing this again so I'm glad to here that about combining discounts :goodvibes
Not sure how you can do this in advance since we had no problems at the Annual Passport Bureau and got family discount :thumbsup2

Hi I notice you are going to be buying the Francillian passes. When we went in November my sister bought one and when she turned up at the park the next day it would not let her in. We were told that the Francillian passes were not activated until day 3. I had not heard of this so posted on here to see if this could be confirmed and this is what is in the Annual Passport brochure

Le Passport Annuel Francilien ne permet pas l'acces aux 2 Parcs Disney les 2me et 3me jour suivant l'etablissement du Passeport Annuel definitif aisi que les jours de restriciton indiques ci-dessous

Passport Annuel Francilien does not allow access to the 2 Disney Parks the 2nd and 3rd day following the establishment of the Annual Passport as well as the days of restriciton indicated below

I am not sure if this rule is still in place but thought I would point it out just in case

It is a timely reminder and one of the reasons I've dismissed this type of annual pasport :sad2:

So.......if i buy the 5 fracillien passes in advance via the post, asap (we're not going till august so lots of time to get it sorted) Could i ask for the start date to be 4 or 5 days before we intend to acutally use the passes?
Would that work? I mean we wont actually be using the passes on day 1, 2 or 3 or maybe even 4 in this instance would we.

I am not sure on this one. I think if you buy your passes by post they only send you a voucher and you still have to go to the AP office to activate.Maybe someone will clarify this

Here's the thread I started with info and translation on the Francilien pass http://www.disboards.com/showthread.php?t=1279891 Buying the passes by mail still requires activation, so you can't get around the 3 day rule.

You may be better off with AP sponsorship - feel free to PM me if you need a sponsor.

I remember someone else having trouble with their family having different surnames. I would suggest you take their passports, birth certificates and your child benefit letter as the latter will definitely show they are all living at the same address.

I just showed my shareholders card at the ticket booth and again at the Annual Passport Bureau. I remember having to give details of my family when I joined the shareholders club so presume they checked on their computer records.

To be honest, I think you will be better off with the Dream or Fantasy passports, otherwise you will find you can't get into the parks for the 2nd and 3rd days. :sad2:

Fingers crossed you will get both the shareholders and family discount. :goodvibes Please let us know how you get on.

I have had a group of friends who travelled together (9 in total this included grandparents, daughter and son both married with their partners and three grandchildren) who got family discount. There were three different surnames in the group and actually it was the annual passport office who suggested the family discount, they were just intending to be sponsored.

Having said this I do find the annual passpost office a bit of a hit and miss affair and I think it depends which CM deals with you how strict they are with the rules.
