OK, here's the deal: I've got a business trip to Ft. Lauderdale in August, and made ressies for two nights prior to my conference at VWL (note to DVC members: a studio was absolutely no problem to book, even at this late date.) Word is that Mission:Space will be in a soft opening the week I'm there, so there's my motivation.

I'll be traveling alone (no problem ... I'm well-adjusted), but wanted to try a couple of restaurants I've not tried, 'cause there's no picky family members in tow.

I've narrowed it down to Artist Point, California Grill, or Flying Fish. I've eaten at every sit-down restaurant in every park, and at many resort and DD eateries, and I'm not afraid to try anything (just can't eat coconut. Eeeeewwww.) I'd like a seafood entree one night and "red meat" the other.

So, for those of you who've made recent trips to one or all of these restaurants, what two would you "go to the mat" over?

Thanks in advance!

Artist Point and Flying Fish....hands down...two of the best restaurants on disney property!

Enjoy!

I agree. Save California grill for a time you're with a "special someone" to share the fireworks with afterwards! :)

I agree with the others. I think that AP & FF will fit into your timing of things quite well. You are staying at WL so AP is on site & since you are hoping Mission in Space is open you could park at BW & eat at FF after you have been at Epcot.

By the way CG is my Favorite but I still stick with the other 2.

I'll vote for AP and FF. California Grill was not to our liking.
