ok fess up, who was out shopping at the crack of dawn this am?

I can't remember when I have missed a Black Friday! It only comes second to the day after Christmas! I drove by Walmart on my way to the mall to get my free mickey snow globe! :earsboy: Dh and I laughed. I said thank goodness we do not have to do there. The entire parking lot was full and there are several stores in that plaza. We really were not for any of the big deals. Actually my kids 4 and 7 are still fairly easy to buy for. My ds 7 wants transformers, robots and video games. Not to high end. My dd 4 Dora HOuse, barbies and of course scrapbooking stuff. She wants to ask Santa for the little X. Training her right :rotfl: I can't hardly wait to get Christmas over and head for the day after sales!!!

DFi and I left the house at 5 am, drove 45 min to LSS that had a great sale! 40% off your entire purchase from 6-7 am. I spent way too much! Then it was to Office Depot for ink, photo paper, and DVD's. The mall where I got me some stuff! The 18 degree weather inspired me to buy a new coat which I immediately put on, it is fab, and I saved over $80 on it (this is where I am ommitting what I actually paid for it, sounds better when I say I saved so much instead :rotfl: ). Then breakfast, took DFi home to nap and I went back out to Kmart, CVS and to get my hair cut. Back home for a min, then off to work until 2am. I am going to be dead tired by then, but I scored so many good deals it is worth it!

Today is my second day of crack of dawn shopping, so I am sleeping in tommarrow!

The kids and I were out from 7 - 10 and it wasn't bad. We went to Joann's and I got some ribbon and a scrapbooking kit for someone for christmas. Got some rubber stamps for 50% off. My entire order was 20% off with the coupon. Then to Kohl's where I got 2 pairs of boots for DS and 1 pair for DD. Then both kids got jackets. DD also got a couple of tops and a holiday dress. I got GREAT deals on everything and then $30 in coupons for next week. That store alone was worth getting out earlier for. Then on to ACMoore where I used my 60% off coupon on a winter paper pack. Kids got some other stuff there. We were home before 10:00. We didn't have any traffic or crowds so it was worth it.

Just got home from dinner at The Outback so it was a good day all over. :)

i was born to shop for sales...

Got to Walmart for 4:45 - got everything i wanted (game boy, mp3, portable dvd, cabbage patch, and a few other things)
Hit Linens and things early enough to be #2 in line and got the Sapiobot thing for $391 woo-hooo

then I hit Mikes, target, Kohls, Toys R Us, JcPenney, Olympia, Filenes, Old Navy, Bath and Body Works (oh those are only the stores that I actually BOUGHT something (or a LOT of somethings ;))

I must be weird b/c I absolutely LOVE shopping the day after Thanksgiving.

DD14 and I have gone the last 3 or 4 yrs and have so much fun. She's a big help and makes it a good time. We got up about 5:30 and was in WM by a qtr til 7. I was wanting the GameBoy that was on sale but was told it was sold out 30 mins before we got there...oh well. Then went to Toys R Us looking at Game Boy there but line in Electronics was so long (50-60 people) I knew there was no way I'd get one so just got what we needed and headed out. From there I went to JoAnne's. Line was pretty long there but I was in before 9 so got the additional 20% off and there were so many things discounted it was worth the wait. From there we went to The Mall to Hecht's, Penney's, Wet Seal, Aeropostle, and several other smaller stores, then to deliver cruise docs to a client of mine that is leaving next Sunday on a cruise. She works at a Nissan dealership next to the Mall (how conveinent!). Then went to Applebees for lunch, then to Old Navy and Kohl's. We were home by 5....I was TOTALLY exhausted but she left at 7 to go out w/her BF to dinner w/his parents!! How does she have the energy?!?!

I think the worse lines were at TRU, Penney's and JoAnne's w/Penney's being the worse. They were SO slow!! :earseek:

It was alot of fun and if I had more money, I'd go again today! Maybe the Game Boy will be on sale later this month so I can get it for DD9 that has asked for one for the last 2 yrs.
Happy Shopping!!

Not me- I wanted to be but I torked my knee out on Thanksgiving!

Oh well. I made a nice order on gymboree.com for my daughter and for the most part I am done with everyone else. Just need a few things for my parents, none of which was on sale on BF anyway.

Yes, by all reports I have read, WalMart sounds like it was nightmarish! EEK! :earseek:
