OK DisGeeks! What are the things that ONLY we Disers know?

I guess you could stumble upon this one by yourself, but we walked past it many times without knowing about it. It's like trying Beverly out on your family and friends...I wouldn't have known about it without the DIS.

In MGM there is an umbrella that "rains" on you! I stepped right up to it and asked my DH to take a picture...no problem. He took a turn and stepped right on the black pad in the sidewalk and it started to rain...the picture of his face is priceless!!!

How about the first family at Liberty Tree Tavern for dinner gets to ring the bell and announce DINNER. DD got to do this and they made a big fuss over her.... Sorry if this is already posted.

Okay, where is this umbrella??? DH and I looked all over for it when we were at MGM in August, but never could find it... :confused3

I hope I can explain it correctly. If you walk down the Streets of America toward Lights, Motors, Action, look to your left at the end of the street. It's there on the corner attached to a lamppost.

Can I find this trivia book at Barnes & Nobles? Is that exact title.
Would love it! :earboy2:

Some other interesting books I've seen referenced are "Hidden Mickeys: A Field Guide to WDW Best Kept Secrets, ed. 2", "WDW Trivia Book" and "Imagineering Field Guide".

WDW is such an amazing place and it is awesome to be able to maximize your time there by knowing secrets and tips. It is also cool to understand the background info of the how's and why's and that absolutely nothing at WDW was done randomly.

Counting down to our pre-holiday trip in December!!! :hourglass

What about opening the Crystal Palace for dinner? On my daughter's first trip to WDW we arrived just in time for 4:00 p.m. PS at CP. When we checked in they asked the name and age of our daughter. We didn't think much of it. When we were "buzzed" for dinner, the door was opened by 6 servers and we were escorted in and the door closed behind us. There stood Pooh, Piglet, Eeyore and Tigger waving to our daughter. She was to open the CP for the evening. They gave her a chefs hat, a huge mickey brownie that the characters decorated with her (whipped cream, mickey sprinkles, etc.). We had family pictures taken with all the chacters in a group. At the time we didn't realize how lucky were were. See what can happen in the first 10 minutes in the park...............
