Anyways..my globe-hopping brother stopped by yesterday to tell us about his trip to LA last week, and how he was hanging out with Shakira......who was at some club owned by a friend of his who was on Big Brother....okay.....

He may as well have spoken a foreign language...hard to believe we came from the same parents....at least I'm told we did...I really believe was dropped her by aliens...ala Mork & Mindy.....


So...who is she??? The only singers I know with one name are Cher and Madonna.....he tells me she is a household name....well, not in this house.


Feeling very old...and very frumpy...if she isn't on Barney....you know????

She is very pretty, sexy petite woman who came out last year with a song called "Whenever, wherever." All of the men seem to really enjoy her girating hips and skimpy outfits. However, she really has a very healthy musical range therefore her singing/music is pretty appealing to both sexes.

I also have a brother who lives in LA.....and is in the music scene. Every time I talk to him he is amazed at how little "pop culture" I know (other than the most recent in Disney). I just don't care about that famous society stuff too much.

I didn't know who she was either, until I saw her video of "Wherever, whenever". I laughed hysterically at first, because it showed her crawling through the mud, and standing on mountains, etc. She has a pretty good voice though. Then her next video came out, "Underneath your clothes". OhhhKkkk!

You've already pretty much got your answer about Shakira... she's a pretty popular singer, with at least a couple of songs hitting the top 10 charts around here this year. One of her songs is really sentimental to me.
