I didn't realize that the track made such a big circle/oval.. it is a 49" circle or a 61"x49" oval! - That is pretty big.. I had thought it would look good under the christmas tree, but i don't have room for a four foot in diameter circle..

hmmm.. back to the boards for inspiration!!
Anyone have pics of theirs??

You can look in my SIG at the TINK Room and see where we put DD's but thats not an option for everyone.

I bought it for ds on our last trip. I have a bin that I keep the pieces in when not in use and when he wants to play with it we set it up for a few days...then eventually take it apart and store it. We wouldn't have the space to always keep it set up all the time. We have the Lincoln Log Wilderness Lodge, we do the same thing-set it up for a few days and then store it in a bin.

I checked that out.. and you are on the same page as i am , except my dd wants to be able to "play" with it and access it easy (your's is on a top bunk frame - correct?) My dd is only 5, so she is small.. therefore, it needs to be more ground level....... I was thinking of getting a couple pieces of plywood, painting them up, and making a smaller wide platform - like for the center of a room..
Her playroom is attached to her bedroom, so we have plenty of floor space, and this is something i would like to have left up - so we can add to it each year - She has the large castle set, and she wants this to go around it. then next yr she is talking that she might want the tree of life... etc.
So, I want this to take on a life of its own, and i am trying to figure out how to give it a proper home to grow.... :wizard:

I would put it on a platform or find a round Junk table somewhere and cut it down to a foot or so off the floor. You could still use the underneath as storage and it would be just the right height for her.

We run DD's all the time it will run all day Sun as we have a big family gathering and our City's Mayors parade comes right infront of the house.

How about getting a train table? Would that be big enough? It is perfect kid height and has drawers underneath for storage! :thumbsup2

When DD was younger she had the geotrax train set up in her room. I had it run partly under her bed, rounding out around the base of her bedpost. Being partly under her bed, she could still run it. And it kind of looked cute.

my ds got this when he was 9,now 18, puts it up under our christmas tree.

I ended up cleaning out her playroom, and just setting it up in the middle of the floor, and in the center, i put the castle playset that we bought in 2004 - it looks cute.. then we will be able to add to it next yr.

I didn't see a lot of replies here, but my husband bought one about five years ago for himself, and we set it up around the christmas tree. We did omit the two straight sections so that it is completely round and the monorail still runs well. Its very cute.
