and it leads into this.. ( A great room design)

the picture will go above the fireplace in an oak frame ( I allready won the same picture a few weeks ago lol) it is 16x20

My question is what colours would you incoroprate into the room now? I have a beige couch thats going in there but other than Im open.

I was thinking drawing the lighter blue for the curtains and maybe the darker blues and the reds for accents. I have another couch going in there but I need a slipcover for it so what colour so you think for that?

What would you do? lol I love having this blank slate

Oh Binny, that is so pretty! What about using the red and white stripes as accents, either in pillows or valances.

I'm not this crafty, but maybe some kids sailor suits could be made into pillows? Maybe darker blue for the slipcover? You are going to have such fun!

great ideas! Thanks :)

Anyone else wanna help too?

I like the darker blue for the slip cover and don't forget that great fushia color too. Maybe candles or decorative dishes.

edited to add - how about using that blue sky on the walls? lighter to darker on your primary wall (I think Changing Rooms did something like that, not to long ago)

I think red weathered shutters would look great for the windows.

You could also have some black iron peices. The blue would be pretty on the walls, you could use white accents.

OK, if that is really how the outside and inside of your house looks, I would have to think about the decorating ideas.

But, just to let you know, my bags are packed, I will take the spare room, I will cook for you, Iwill clean for you, I am moving in with you.

You can expect my arrival any day now. :Pinkbounc

Hmmmm....definitely need some color, too much neutral.

Blue colors come to mind, maybe some bright yellow as well, and some red accented somewhere.

<font face="tempus sans itc" color=purple size=3>There are so many beautiful shades of blue in the picture (and the photograph)... I think I would focus on using two or three of the blue shades throughout with white and red and creamy vanilla yellow accents.

Tanks for asking:p

beyond just the color sceme......I would look for ways to incorporate the nautical theme. I know the candle shop across from the foodcourt in the mall has some great lighthouse candle toppers :) Put it on top of a bay breeze,or ocean breeze candle...and there you go !

what could look incredibly cool is to but a airondack style wooden chair, and paint it fire engine red.....again the colors and the theme.

Oh Binny, how exciting! :bounce: A couple different ideas come to mind....

I like the red and white striped pillows. Could add some ocean blue pillows too!

The candle is a great aromatic touch. :)

We usually put mirrors above our fireplaces....and you could do the same....OR....you could put an old steering wheel from a ship up there (what are those called? ). It would set your 'tone'. :)

On your coffee table...a big bowl with a candle (or candles) in the middle of it, surrounded by seashells. :)

I see blue walls in this room. :)

Binny, I have a cute little accent lamp for you....It's a lighthouse!! :) It's your's the next time I see you. :)

Have fun!! :)

Great ideas have already been given. What a great slate you have to play with. I love decorating!

BTW, Lowes.com has a great site for visualizing paint colors on your walls. Go to www.lowes.com go to the bottom of the page and click on "Try Our Online Paint Visualizer." What a great asset! WHAT did we do before the internet???

Good luck!
