OK! A 80 Hour Disney Adventure!! Let the good times roll, prefferably not me?

:teacher:Well I can't figure out my hours I guess.

Well It was 72 hours to begin with but since our change in plans and arrival time it's not 80 hours ... 8 more hours at Disney ... who's with me :yay::woohoo::banana::dance3:

Sweeeet!!!!!:banana::dance3::yay::woohoo:

Yeup .. you read it right .... only 27 days left!!

OH, you mean the DxDDP. Well with all the reservations we currently have and the difference in price, it just made sense.

OK OK ...it made sense to me. As per my lovely DW, she isn't 100% on board with the idea. She thinks that we could probably trim off a couple of reservations. Focus more on eating snacks, QS and buying oatmeal and bananas on the way in to eat for breakfasts. Mind you a couple of the breakfast reservations are for her. (CP and Boma) Although, she does say that we could drop Boma on Day 1.

OH, so what I have done is offered to take some of my personal money, yeah we give each other allowance LOL, and pay the difference up to $270. However, it may be less depending on what the expected OOP costs would be if we didn't upgrade to DxDDP.

So there is going to be a little bit of math going on today. :headache:

Nah .. actually it's more like :dance3::yay: I love math. ;)

:woohoo::woohoo::woohoo: to 27 more days to Disney.

I'm kind of with your wife on the DXDDP....it's an awful lot of food. But I'm sure you'll enjoy doing your math to figure it all out. :thumbsup2

What's the Infopack you ask?

Well, it's something that I thought of doing for my dear wifey. See, she is a planner, much like me, except I am more of the planner when it comes to travel - especially when it comes to DISNEY!!!

Well, we've agreed that this is going to be the last trip to the world for quite sometime, although in my heart I am not 100% on board with that idea. But I want to put together a packet for her.

The contents of said packet are in the rough stages, kind of spitballing it right now. So any suggestions would be great.

Contents:

  • Copy of reservation at CSR
  • One pager on CSR with a couple of photos, and a watermark picture as the bkg. Contents to be included on sheet have yet to be determined.
  • Daily Look Ahead. One pager that lists expected parks for the day, any reservations w/confirmation numbers, any unique points, expected weather (may be inputted by hand as trip grows closer). Watermark park picture as bkg.
  • Restraurant info sheets: BKG on restaurant, something unique about it, where the hidden Mickey is located (if any), etc. Copy of the menu.
  • OH Oh .. .an intro letter - "Congrats on your upcoming trip .... " I think I will make this signed by Pooh & Friends. And how much they are looking forward to seeing her at Crystal Palace on our final day so they can hear all about our trip.

Come to think of it I think I will also put one together for my son, but his will be more catered to a 10 year old boy. What rides are recommended etc,

Thoughts and suggestions and direction to great stuff would be greatly appreciated.

I say go for the DxDP, now I have never done the DP Deluxe or otherwise but when we had to end up cancelling our trip for November one of the major considerations when we started to look to downsize and still go was the fact that we had quite a few TS ADR's and were paying OOP, had we bought and paid for a DP when booking I am sure we would not have cancelled anyway since looking at rebooking I have come to realize the DxDP is truely a good deal since it includes both an appitizer and dessert plus your refillable mug something the regular DP does not include.

If you are anything like me the eating expierences are a big part of my trips....I think upgradeing is a good choice:thumbsup2

Have my fingers crossed that you can work out some way to stay CSR on the 20th

I know I haven't updated in a while - sorry.

Well here's where were at:

I'm pretty much packed.
DW hasn't even really begun.
We're out at friends tonight.
I'm in a Christmas mood - heard Silent Night while walking through the mall on the way to work this morning. Oh, and I am listening to Lonestar's Christmas album :santa:

I'm beggining to get a bit mushy - actually teared up writing a post earlier. See, I haven't seen my son since January. He lives in GA with his mum. She and I haven't really talked all that much in the past 10 years, in fact her parents have pretty much been the go between for our communications. Anyways, I love my son very much, talk to him on the phone often. But, this isn't quite the same as being there, I miss him dearly and he is getting to that age that he is already beginning to form some of the traits that he will continue to have as a young adult. It's scary that he is growing up so fast and that he is so far away. I can't share with him the guidance on an everyday basis, the way a dad/father should. So I have some guilt there, and some jealousy that I don't get to spend more time with him. All that is to say that I am really looking forward to spending next week with him. Seeing how he's changed, how he's grown (He just turned 10 in October and he's around 5ft tall and weighs in at 135 - He's a small MAN already).

Sorry ... just wanted to share some things that are sitting on my mind.

Back to the trip.

We are in a toss up for our dinner on Nov. 22 our AK, free afternoon day. We don't know if we'll hit a differnt park in the evening, hang at CSR or maybe go to DTD. However, I currently have a reservation at 'Ohana and Raglan Road. What do you think about either of those choices?
