Our Cast--Me, DW, DS 12 & DD 10..our 3rd trip. And, our 2, 1st time Dis-er Nieces 15 & 12.
2 rooms @ POP Century. We were given 50’s section 4th floor facing the bowling pin pool.
All of us on the free dinning plan.




DAY 2 MGM & EPCOT Tuesday

WHOOOSH!… GOOOOD MOOORNING POP!!! the built in potty alarm got me again! Oh well, at least I’ll get to see if I set the start alarm on our coffee maker correctly. Cup-o-Joe & fruit bars in the room, and of to MGM we go!

The MGM bus line was better and we got to MGM in good time, although we did have to stand again. Our new bees wanted to start with TOT and you should have seen the look of sheer terror on their faces in the photos! R&R was next, both with 10 min waits, and they proceeded to re-ride both several times before we moved on. The park was minimally crowded and we pretty much walked onto everything. Everybody loved the new stunt show, despite all the bad reviews we’ve read. We attended The Little Mermaid show and it brought out the “monster” in our newbees, they, for the next several days, along with our 2 kids would break out into a loud emotional rendition of “Part of Your World” while wearing their personalized Mickey & Minnie ears, much to the amusement of passers-by. That was the point I knew “they get it”! We had lunch in the ABC commissary and it was very good. DW loved the Tabboulah Wrap, the kids had cheeseburgers and I had fish & chips. No one finished all of their meal and we gave 3 of our deserts away.
Around 3:00 we took the boat to the World Showcase entrance to EPCOT. Those boats could use a little more air conditioning if you ask me! We immediately hit Soarin’ and it truly is a beautiful attraction. We picked up fast passes, did Honey I shrunk… & hit Soarin again. The kids played in inventions, loved the “House Fire” game and then we , well not my afraid to barf again DW, rode Mission Space.. again the low crowds allowed us to bounce from TT & MS several times! We perfectly timed a boat ride from the front to Morocco and made our 6:00 Teppanyaki ressie. Our chef was fun. She made a smoking volcano out of an onion, then turned it into Mickey before saying “Sorry Mickey , but we hungry” and chopping him up! Everybody tried something new and dinner was wonderful! We “waddled” around WS until Illuminations and, as always, it was beautiful. However we did notice the missing flamethrower action and were surprised to see that the globe did not spin as in previous years! The show was followed by another looong bus line back to POP and a standing trip.

A DIS-MEET had been talked about and we wore our lime green in preparation for this, but when we went to the designated spot a single voice called out… “Are you Dis-ers?” Her name was Ashley and it was very nice to meet her!

Back to the room and off for my BLUE SLUSHEE..

Slightly new mugs in hand I approached the deliverer of blue goo and noticed “another” large line of “mug-kids” and the machine STILL didn’t look that big! I quickly devised another plan… .”hey kids…Spider-man , Captain America & The Cat in the Hat are signin’ autographs in the lobby”! pitter patter..pitter patter …. YES ! Slightly new mugs full of blue sunshine. .Triumphant again, I strolled back to the room.

Finally back at out room, we showered & and I was too tired to hear the screaming kids at the pool, and their parents yelling at the top of their lungs “BE QUIET” “People might be tryin to sleep”

I was totally exhausted got to sleep just fine!
