O'Hare people? Have a question about checking in at United terminal!

I haven't flown since 2017 and we used a SkyCap for that flight - they took care of everything! :D

So I just prepaid for our bags with United online (saved $10 total).

What do we do when we get to airport? We will be there around 5:30am. Do we go to a kiosk? What do you need to check-in if we already did it on the United app? Is that where we weigh bags too? And we already paid for bags, so just get the tags?

Sorry for all the questions!

You could still use curbside check-in for United at O’Hare (gratuities are appreciated). They access the same computer system to print boarding passes and luggage tags, and the system will show you’ve prepaid for bags. They will weigh your bags as usual.

If you prefer to go inside to check your luggage, you can look for a kiosk and print luggage tags there if that option is offered. Some of the kiosks are designated for passengers NOT checking bags who just need to print boarding passes. If a bag-check kiosk is available, system should know you’ve prepaid. You will then take your bags to the appropriate counter to have them weighed and placed on the conveyor. To be honest, at 5:30 am, the lines should be very short, so I would skip the kiosk option and just take my luggage directly to the counter to be tagged, assuming I had not checked it curbside (which I consider a minor extra cost for the convenience when we are on vacation).

Thanks! I wasn't sure curbside check-in was happening post- Covid. We may just do that, it's my favorite way to check-in. :D
