which one should I do with two kids, 2 and 5? I've heard good things about both but am worried hoop dee doos charms will be lost on the two year old. Still, wouldn't want to pass up a really good thing.

What do you think?

The kids might enjoy O'Hana's more. They do have some games that they have all the kids get up and participate in. I'd save the HDDR for when they are a little older. My 9 year old daughter loved HDDR. But she also enjoys O'Hana's.

I went to HDDR when I was 4 and my sister was 2 and my parents contend it was the best exp we had at Disney that entire week - they took loads of pictures of us dancing along and having a ball. I would not think twice about taking my preschoolers to it - DH and I went last month again (his first, my third) and we had a blast as well, it's so active, with nonstop entertainment, and lots of audience involvement.

we love Ohanas too, though the two places are hard to compare - Ohanas has some children activities, yes, but the majority of the time you are just dining. It also takes a while to eat there, without constant entertainment, unlike HDDR that has constant entertainment and things going on.

I don't think you can go wrong with either - have a great time!

I was so glad we waited to see HDD with our three kids. We finally got there when our kids were between 11-19, and I remember thinking they would never have 'gotten' most of the silly humor when they were little. Of course, they could enjoy some jokes and all the activity, but I think the show is ideal for kids 8 and over. (never been to O'Hana) Enjoy, whatever you choose! :)

I agree with the poster who said these two are hard to compare. We have been to both and my advice would be...if you want a ton of food and a few children's games, go to O'Hana's. If you want a fun dinner show, go to the Hoop Dee Doo! We much prefer the HDD ourselves.

Here is our quandary,

We can either do HDD or both Ohana's AND Whispering Canyon Cafe. I've heard such amazing things about HDD but does it beat being able to go to both of the others?

I know this is subjective, but I still appreciate your input. I've learned so much from everyone here.

Thanks!

I am sure the younger kids won't understand the humor of the show for HDDR, but they sure will be entertained by the singing and acting the entire night! Our kids 7 & 5 loved it! Ohanas is great too, but like someone previously said, it is mostly eating - the kids entertainment did not start until we were done with the meal. We loved both and would do them again, but if I had to choose between 1, I would choose HDDR considering the kids ages! :goodvibes
