Trying to make some decisions here on the dining plan. These are two I've always wanted to try and I'm having to make some choices :guilty:

Anyone a fan of one over the other?

Also, what about Kona Cafe? Is the Tonga toast and eggs benedict really worth a coveted TS for breakfast :goodvibes

Thanks so much for advice! :sunny: :flower:

good luck,, I love them both!

whispering canyon does have great servers & will 'joke' with you if you like that sort of thing,, ther are many posts on what exactly to say to them.... one is asking for catsup! it also ahs a nice area in the back by a fireplace!

both places has games they do with the kids

I prefer the Whispering Canyon Cafe. You can have all you can eat family style meals on lazy susan in the center of the table. If you have kids, it's a great place b/c they have races & lincoln logs. Even w/o kids, there's more entertainment to having a meal there b/c of interactions w/ waitstaff. If you go, just have fun w/ them.

I also find the WL very relaxing to wander around.

That's JMHO. :cool1: Either place has great food. Have a great trip!

Oh, tough choice...those were my two favorite restaurants while there last week. I think O'Hana's won out, but WCC was a very close second. O'Hana's was awesome...my dh said he could have just camped out there the whole week and ate continuously. My kids are 2 & 3, and they ate really well here, too.

Thank you! Guess it will depend on the menu. So the Ohana's food is VERY good...I think I prefer WC type food, but if the quality is awesome at Ohana's I might really like it. Ugh, still can't decide :goodvibes

They are both good, but I would say Ohana is more unique(i.e., it is less likely you have a restaurant of this ilk unless you are in a major metro area).

I think you need to try Kona for breakfast. The Tonga Toast is good (albeit it RICH) and the eggs benedict is also good. :earsboy:

I prefer the skillet at WC!
they have ribs, potatos, YUM!!!!!!!!!!! (if you don't order the skillet,, its hohum, like everey other restaurant) JMO

I would pick WC if you have only one to choose from for your visit

If you want to do a character breakfast, Ohanas is a good place to be.

Whispering Canyon is great for the jokes and the laughter. Definetly ask for the "catsup".

I would say O'hana. I love Kona Cafe for dinner and am trying to fit it in again for our October trip. If you have dinner there on the plan you do very well money-wise, and the food is outstanding.
