Ohana's or Whispering Canyon?

Going to WDW with DH, DS10, DDS7, and DD2. Should we eat at Ohana's or Whispering Canyon for dinner? Wouldn't be eating late enough to view Wishes so that is not a consideration. Thanks for the advice.

My vote is always for Whispering Canyon, however, I've never eaten at Ohana's. WC is so fun!

'Ohana's hands down. The food is 100% better, and the coconut races and hula hoop contest are great for the kids. This is just my opinion.

Ive been to both and both are excellent. I have to go with WC, though. The antics are just too good. Perfect for those ages. Also, the food isn't "per person" price. We aren't huge eaters, so DH and I shared and had plenty-delicious! Lots to see at WL- take the kids out to see the geyser. You can rent a surry bike adn head to Fw (abotu a ten minute ride). Right when you get there , there is a petting zoo (free) and pony rides ($3). The pony races around the restaurant are too cute. There is a lego table in the waiting area. See menus at wdwig.com

Did them both last trip and Ohanna's wins hands down. WL is "our" resort so we have to do WCC, but I find it very loud and while it is fun, it can be quite over stimulating. The food is all smoked and not my favorite. Ohanna's on the other hand is fun, with games but much more relaxing. The food is soooo good here. Good luck choosing!!!

O'hana's!!!!!!

We love WC for breakfast but you can't beat the food, atmosphere, fun, etc. at O'hana's.

Such a tough question! I love them both and try to include them both for our trips. I love the salad at WC and the barbecue. I love the appetizers and the dessert at Ohanas. If I could only go for one, I would have to go to Ohanas for my family because my family prefers it; if it were me, I would go for WC just for the salad! If you can swing both, go for both! Have a great trip!

If you can do both, then do both. It's definitely worth it.

If you can do only one, here's my reasons:

Ohana - Great food. The green beans and pot stickers alone are to die for. Coconut races and hula hoops! Go for it, cousin!

WCC - Food good (my DH loves it), but you're going for the atmosphere. Kids find it a hoot when straws get thrown everywhere, ketchups appear by the dozen, pony races, and wacky servers! What more do you want.

These 2 have been on our must do list each time we go. Next month we're back again.

Wow, that is a tough choice. We went to both last trip and we had a blast. I think each one has it's own personality.

While WC is great for kids, loud bunch of waiters, always someone screaming for ketchup, or someone standing up to sing happy birthday to themselves, (if your kids are shy, don't worry, the waiters understand. our little cousin was too shy to ask for ketchup so she started eating her fries w/out ketchup and our sweet yet loud waitress quietly 'snuck' her one bottle of ketchup instead of the usualy 12). Over all, it was a really fun place to eat, IF you like the wackiness.

On the other hand, O'hana is a little more toned down. They do have activities for kids, like the coconut races and hula hoop contests. But there is no shouting waiters and there's a more calmer ambiance.

My vote is O'hana. We loved the food at both, but at O'hana it was more relaxed. We didn't feel that someone was going to make us stand up and sing or do something funny...we just enjoyed our dinner. (I don't know, maybe we're party poopers but we kinda though WC was a bit...too much).

Just my humble opinion, either way, they're both great experiences and I hope you enjoy!!!

Thanks for the great replies! We are staying at WL and I have a PS for WC but after reading all the suggestions, I think we have to try Both! Going to make a PS at Ohana's right now Thanks Everyone!

I have a hard time choosing between them, I think I lean towards WC, as it is easier to get a last minute seating. The nice part of Ohanna's is being able to watch the Water Parade at night from the restaurant.
If you like smokehouse bbq, go WC

If you want more of an island style of all you can eat, go Ohanna.

If I had to choose just one, I would lean towards WC for the all you can drink milkshakes, though the Hot Pineapple with Caramel sauce is great.

They are both such great places to eat, if at all possible do them both!!!
