I am very curious about the activities and the food. Right now we have a PS at Kona but I am thinking of changing it. Is O'Hana's better? Keep in mind we have a 3 and 1 year-old.

I loved it. The food is the best. It was neet to watch them cook the food on the big grills. The played a game with brooms (?) and coconuts with the kids. We went with my 2 year old. I feed her the regular food. It was not until we were almost finished that they offered us kid friendly food but they do have it. There is a really nice view of the castle. I had not planned to eat here but we stayed at the Poly and it just really looked neat. I recommend it. We will be eating there on our next trip in Sept.

They have a coconut race which your 3 year old will like and possibly your one year old if you help out and a hula hoop time. We take DS who is now 2 and he loves the fruit sauce, sometimes the bread and it varies on what else he will eat. He seems to love going there though and the servers are always helpful with him.

i was at Ohana last week for the first time and loved it. the food was just great (you must have the shrimp and steak in my opinion, but everything else is good too). there is certainly enough activity going on to keep your children (well maybe the 3 year old) amused and entertained. you might also want to consider the spirit of aloha show, although i thought the food was better at ohana. make sure you make a PS for ohana though!

WE LOVED LOVED LOVED O'HANA's!!!!!!!!!! We ate there on Sunday and it was the best meal I've enjoyed at WDW or anywhere else!!! Such good food, service, and interaction for the kiddos. If your kiddos don't like what they have to offer they can get the standard mac and chesse and chicken fingers...no prob. One boy at a table next to us only like the BBQ chcken wings they give you for the appetizer so the waiter brought him a bowl all for himself. We gave it 5 stars plus!!!!

I would highly recommend 'Ohana - it's our favorite restaurant in all of Disney. I think it would be much better with kids too.

Both eateries have excellent food, but Kona is sort of out in the open, whereas 'Ohana is in a prime location with the view of the fireworks, etc. Plus the activities for kids, as others have mentioned.

Your 3 year old might also love the shaved ice desert at 'Ohana (extra cost). It comes in a beach sand pail, complete with mini-shovel to eat it with! Plus you can take it with you!

YES! YES! YES! to 'Ohana's!!!!! This restaurant is one of our "must eat at" stops while in WDW! We were there last month and our kids had a great time (as well as myself and DH, of course!!!). Coconut races, hula hoop contests, wandering musician/singer, maraccas at the table for little ones who can't play games, awesome view of Wishes from the dining room, excellent eats and the desserts, oh, well, you're just gonna' have to check it out yourself and you will understand! You even get a plate full of warm moist washcloths for tidying up after your meal! I could go on and on, but let me just say I would highly recommend this as one of your dinner choices! Enjoy, cousins!!!!!! :wave2:

While I think O'hana can be fun and the view can't be beat (if you have a good table), I prefer the food at Kona. I think it is far better. The games at O'hana are over so quickly, I would not visit this restaurant strictly for them. Of course, in all our visits, I've never experienced the number of entertainers others seemed to have encountered. Thus, we only occasionally visit O'hana but always visit Kona -- usually for more than one meal. On our short trip at the end of July, dh and I are planning on having a breakfast, lunch, and dinner there!

Is it too much of a family place that we would feel uncomfortable? Or do you think it could be a fine for two adults? We are also planning on going to LTT for dinner and Cape May Cafe for breakfast, so we (I really - DBF never has experienced it yet - hope he likes it!) do like Disney magic/character experiences.

You will feel just fine. We had a later seating, there was way more adults than kids. So if you are unsure go late and try to catch the fireworks or the water parade.

Where is O'hana's? I know 'Ohana is at the Poly, but I'd like to ty an Irish pub for a change... :cool1:

Do all those activities also happen at Breakfast?

For breakfast which is better Ohanna or Kona?

We *loved* it! In fact, we loved it so much that I designed my daughter's end-of-the-year class party as a luau, based on 'Ohana. We even had the coconut race and hula hooping! Needless to say, it was a hit.

For the younger children, they allow them to use the 'sweeping' end of the broom rather than the handle, so the bigger kids don't have an unfair advantage. I really think your children would love it.

When we went, there were eight of us - including my 3 and 6yo nephews, my 1yo niece and my 9yo DD. They all loved it!

Thanks so much for all the responses. I am thinking it would be a huge hit. I am more concerned with keeping them into it then the food, it sounds like the food it great too!

not at all, i am in my late 20's and went there solo and was fine, had a great time, and believe me the food is worth it!
