I was able to get a ressie at 9:45, the night we arrive. I am not a night person and am wondering if Ohana's atmosphere the same. I am use to dining in the morning when every one is perky.
I know this is an odd question. I just want to make sure I am not getting the worst of the best.

that would not work for me. very late dinner after a day of traveling?

if it works for you, it should be fine. It's not like they run out of food or anything

We love Ohana for dinner but have never eaten this late. This question comes up every so often and the general replies are that it's no different in terms of food or service, just quieter.

Nope, service and food should remain as good as earlier in the day. One of the perks of eating that late is, depending on where you're seated, you can see the MK fireworks.

Though I would always keep an eye out for an earlier time.

Food quality and service will be the same. Atmosphere might be a little quieter because i think the kids' activities (e.g. coconut races) end earlier in the evening.

If you aren't a night person having dinner at 9:45 is very late. You won't be finished until around 10:45 - 11:00. If you're staying at the Poly you'll be back in your room quickly, but if you are staying elsewhere it could easily be 11:30 - midnight before you're back at your resort.

We've eaten at Ohana between 9 and 10 pm several times. The food and service were the same, and they still had the ukulele player. Nothing different.

Thank You everyone for your responses. I am glad to know service is still the same.
purple figmont you have a good point I can not see myself ending a meal so late. Iwill keep on eye out for earlier meal.

That would be too much food for us that late at night. And I find the lighting at 'Ohana to be very strange. It's too bright to be considered dim but too dark to be considered bright (does this make any sense? I can't find the words I want to describe the shadow-y, yellow-y tones of the lighting). Suffice it to say, I don't find the atmosphere soothing for a late night meal after a long day of travel.

WE always do 'Ohana arrival night! We usually get a 9:30 on reservation and it's always great! We are night owls though and eating at 9:30 is common for us.

A late night ADR on an arrival night would not work for me. The food and service at 'Ohana will not change other than perhaps you will not feel as rushed, but if you are not used to eating that late, and if you are up early for your travel day, this may make the following morning start rough.
