:banana:Just planned a last minute trip to the World for a buisness/pleasure trip with my family. Adr's were almost impossible to get. Have any of you ever tried an early walk in at Ohana? This is one of our favorites!!! Thanks for any help!

Ohanas was better than EVER when we went last week with the fam...My advice would be to check the system EVERY day, several times a day and I'm almost positive an opening will pop up. Don't plan to just walk up...you will probably get it but you will have to be diligent about it. GL!

You may be lucky, or you may be turned away. If you are going without a reservation, get there EARLY. They start lining up at 4 or even before, mostly people who don't already have a reservation and are hoping to get lucky. 'Ohana will not start checking people in until 4:45. It will all depend on what is available and when. They may tell you that you would need to wait a couple of hours for a table, if you are up for that. But they may also tell you that they will not be able to admit anyone without a reservation.

Sometimes, they will have a CM walk the line before they open check-in, asking if the persons in line have reservations, so they can state there is no space in the restaurant and clear the line of those without reservations before they open. They don't do this all the time though.

'Ohana dinner, at least anytime before 8:30 PM or so, has now easily supplanted Le Cellier as the hottest meal ticket at WDW.

Have had ADR'S and had to wait as well and people are always waiting in lobby so would try online every morning after 7 AM and also call reservations.:thumbsup2 this worked for us with Cinderellas Breakfast.

Thanks for the replies! Anyone trying to pull off dinner at Ohanas with no ressie during spring break is nuts.:confused3 It is my DS 7th birthday and DD 2 first visit. I have to try!!! Look at the bright side of the situation, we'll be in WDW. Life is good!!! :woohoo:

'Ohana is a wonderful meal experience.

Without an ADR it will be very difficult to obtain a table for anything before 8:00.

Enjoy your trip.

Nala is spot on.

We see this every time we are at Ohana. People start the line around 4pm and it gets LONG...Have never seen anyone get in. Have heard people being told that it would be a 2-3+ hour wait. And told they have to wait there, they can't come back.

That is crazy! Why waste all that time. Keep trying for an ADR if you really want in, if you don't get one I wouldn't even bother with trying to get in. Just chalk it up as a chance to eat at another "gem". ;)

I know this because I have a favorite spectator sport if I'm down at WDW on my own for a day or so...get a drink at Tambu and watch the 'Ohana line. By 4:30 it will probably be back past Kona. There are some interesting reactions when some guests are told they can't get in or they have to wait 3 hours.

They do a little "welcoming show" sort of thing around 5 when they start seating in the restaurant. They brought out all the CMs to stand and sing Aloha or something. There were so many people in the lobby that when they brought out the cast they had to stand pretty much up against the bar. I like 'Ohana okay, but waiting a long time with very small children in a mess like 'Ohana's lobby between 4 and 6 pm is not something I'd leap to do. I'm also pretty sure that "it's my child's birthday" won't get you in if there isn't already space for your party. I would keep searching for an ADR if 'Ohana is an absolute must.
