ON the menu boards, they rated the food mediocore to poor, what do others think of the family style dinner?? Thanks

Welcome to the DIS, buzz1fan!

I enjoy the food here. It's not the best food I've ever had on Disney property, but it's defiinitely not the worst either. I love the side dishes (especially the salad, potatoes, and chicken wings). The meats have good flavor, but sometimes the steak can be a bit tough. The entertainment makes it a really fun place to dine.

I love Ohana. The food is fine, nothing special (well except for the bread pudding!) but the atmosphere is great. It's a super kid-focus restaurant full of coconut races, limbo lines and hula lessons. My kids adore this part of it.

I think if the activities aren't part of your dinner adventure, you could definitely be disappointed in the food.

The food isn't great. The bread pudding was the best thing about the meal. Everything else was o.k. to bad (skewered meats were dry and tasteless). The service was lackluster and the atmosphere is loud and chaotic. Once was enough for my family. We know Disney meals are going to cost more than the outside world and don't have a problem paying for them, but we actually felt ripped off at Ohana.

We just ate there this past Monday and my family agreed that it was the best meal of our trip. I guess we may not have the more sophisticated paletes of others, but we really loved it. The atmosphere was nice after a long day of super crowded parks. We even got a prime table to watch the fireworks a MK. I could not have asked for a more perfect dining experience. At the very least, it is worth a try at least once. :thumbsup2

My husband and I ate there in September for the first time and thought the food was great. They gave us way too much and a lot was wasted, although we did manage to eat all of the bread pudding! I heard the menu changed receently but we are going to eat here again this next Sept. with our two boys (ages 18 & 24). I think they will get a real kick out of the atmosphere and enjoy the food as well. You should try Ohanas.

I haven't been since August, but me and everybody I went with thought the food was pretty good. Not teriffic, but pretty good. Bread pudding is awesome though.

They don't have the sausages anymore, but my nephew claims he ate 14 sausages (I think he just multiplied by 10). Usually it's tough to get him to eat anything that isn't 90% sugar.

We love O'hanas. Once in a while a dry piece of meat but just push it to the side and get another.

We are planning to make an ADR for the day when my adult children fly in to join us older folk. Our plan is to eat at Ohanas and then view "Wishes" from the Poly beach afterward. It seems like a festive and fun thing to do to get the kids (DD 19 and DS 24) in the Disney mood! Hope the food's good...but we'll cope if it's not.

We had dinner on our first night at Ohanas. It was awesome. Grandparents loved it so much they begged me to make another adr there. Too late, it was booked the rest of our stay. The food is really good. It does impress!

We love Ohana! I'm a little partial because I love anything Polynesian, the activities for kids, and we love family style dining. It truly is a unique experience. To be honest I've never had bad food there. I'm also a big fan of grilled meets.

All of these elements make for an enjoyable experience for our family.
