i've been unable to get an ADR for dinner. anyone have experience getting a table without an ADR? im hearing some restaurants are easier than others. any feedback would be appreciated. thanks

I would keep trying, even once you're at WDW (you can have the lobby concierge check for you as well). If you decide to try a walk-up, I'd say your best shot would be to get there right when they open. Good luck!:goodvibes

You are right some places your chance is better. However Ohana isn't one of them.

Ohana is very very very popular right now and the chance is very slim.
Not saying don't try, but don't get your hopes up. Make sure to have back up plans.

The only reports I have heard of a sucessful Ohana walk up was arriving before opening and waiting 2+ hours to be seated.
(that is insane in my book, Ohana is good but not worth losing that time)

Good luck, as PP said, keep trying to score an adr before you go.

We had dinner at Kona Cafe last week and it was just wonderful. If you can't get into Ohana, go there. The food is fantastic.

I strolled over to Ohana after dinner and talked to the hostess. She said getting there around 4:30-4:45 and checking in, you would have a very good chance of getting seated. Go right when it opens. She said walk ups get seated within the hour at that time.

I've got an ADR for Feb so I wasn't too worried about going this time around. I am a big fan of Kona though. Might have to have breakfast there next time.

I would agree that chances are slim. Especially if you are going at a busy time of year. It is one of the most sought after reservations in WDW.
