Ohana with Shellfish Allergy?

I feel crazy for even thinking about it but have any of you tried Ohana with someone who has a shellfish allergy? My DH is allergic and he's offered to go and not eat but I hate to do that. Thing is, my kids really want to try Ohana. Has anyone had a successful meal there with a shellfish allergy?

Two of my kids are allergic to shellfish and we ate at Ohana without a problem. They ate some of the side dishes, steak, and got kids mac & cheese. Have your DH's allergy noted on the ADR and also contact specialdiets@disneyworld.com for a form you can fill out with all your ADRs and allergy info. They forward everything to the restaurant chefs. At the restaurants, the chef will come to your table and talk about safe options.

Glad to hear that. We are planning a Dec. trip and my DD has shellfish and fish allergies. Ohana is def. someplace we want to go back to this trip.

I have a serious shrimp allergy and have eaten at Ohana many times. When I arrive I tell the CM at the check in about it and when we are seated I tell our server also. They have always been very gracious about avoiding me when serving the shrimp. I believe they keep the different skewers segregated while on the fire so cross contamination wasnt a concern. When the server came to our table with shrimp they just skipped over me. Hope that helps....
now you have me thinking about how good the food was the last time we were there.

We ate their last month with my shellfish allergic DH. The only thing he couldn't eat was the shrimp skewers and since I don't care for shrimp we just had them skip our table all together when serving the shrimp.
