I have a reservation for 3 at 'Ohana. Now my niece is coming with us. I haven't been able to get an ADR for four yet. I will continue to try, but I was wondering about the seating here. Are all the tables for even numbers? So as a party of 3 will we be seated at a table for 4 or do they have tables that seat just 3? If there isn't a table specifically for 3 I'm considering just showing up with all 4 of us and asking if they can seat us all. I hate to do that but I am willing to try if I can't get a ressie and it's possible that we can get seated as a party of 4 not 3.
TIA,
Ellen

It doesn't much matter if the table CAN seat 4. It has to do with the restaurant being at capacity for the fire department. They can only have so many people in there at once.

Keep that reservation and see if you can get a table for 1 around the same time under another parties My Disney Experience account - they will seat you together. As the PP said - it has to do with capacity.

Good to know that we could be seated together if there is a party of 1at the same time. I had thought of doing that but I didn't want to take up two tables.

I wouldn't just show up with 4. What would you do if they said no, tell your niece, sorry, we're eating, see ya later!

Keep trying for 4 or 1.

As a party of 3 we've been seated at the 3 tops a PP mentioned more often than at a 4 top. Since 'Ohana is fully booked much of the time and runs behind schedule almost daily it is not a restaurant where I would take a chance and show up with an extra person. Keep checking online for a reservation for your entire party. You can also subscribe to the cancellation thread for your month on the Dining Reservations board. Showing up with an extra person and hoping everyone will be seated would be a last resort and I would have a back up plan for the person who might not be seated - Captain Cooks maybe?

If you search for a table for 1, it doesn't have to be exactly at the same time - you could probably go +/- 15 minutes or so and one party would just be checking in earlier. You might also search parties of 2 - for some reason odd party size is sometimes harder to accommodate. I would also recommend Touring Plans reservation finder. I have used it with great success for our upcoming trip. FWIW, we ended up at a few ADR's on one trip (when DS was under 1) where our party size varied from the ADR and we were never turned away, but ymmv.
