My husband really wants to eat there for dinner on our upcoming September trip. It's not my favorite, but it can't be all about me! ;)

I got a dinner reservation on the date I wanted at 9:15. I'd like an earlier one but it seems like that is not happening. I have been trying every day, several times a day, since April 16 with no luck. What is strange is that the time available keeps going up by five minute increments every week or so. Right now availability is at 9:40, and it doesn't matter if you put in 2 people or 14. Why don't they put all availability at the same time, when it's obvious they have room for people at later times? I have never seen that with other ADRs.

The system does that with other restaurants as well. When reservations dwindle it seems designed to give the one best time, then work back from there. I've also seen this happen for earlier times - the one time that will pop up is, say, for 4:25. After that is gone it then only shows a time for 4:20, and so on. Sometimes you can trick the system into giving you the other times just by entering in the latest or earliest seating. Another way to trick it is to go to the general dining page and select a time that's a half hour before or after the restaurant closes, which you can't do on the restaurant's main page. Of course, none of the times available are those that would be considered ideal to the average guest.
