Ohana Rehearsal Dinner

Has anyone had their rehearsal dinner at Ohana? How did you set it up (we went through group dining) and what was it like? Did you enjoy it?

We had a rehearsal breakfast at Ohana and we attended a rehearsal dinner at Ohana not too long ago.

You can read my whole review of our breakfast in my tr, but in a nutshell, this here are my pros and cons:

Pros:
It's easy for everyone to get to
It's cheap
It's all you can eat
Breakfast has characters
There is a nice view

Cons:
They don't seem to handle large groups well
That weird lady is there during dinner
They won't seat you until the whole party is there

Essentially, if you don't want to go overboard with a rehearsal meal, Ohana is good for the price. I did have some problems with the wait staff basically ignoring me (the bride) which I didn't like. At both our rehearsal breakfast and the rehearsal dinner we attended this summer it seemed like the inital food was brought out and that was it. If we wanted something else, we had to ask and then wait for it. You can really tell the difference in service between a large group and a small group.

Would I still have had my breakfast there? Yes. It was fun, worth the price and we got everyone fed and over to the WP for rehearsal

My breakfast was 20 and I think the dinner was 25 or so.

it is the coconut lady that walks around singing and like gathering up kids. She is weird. I am also doing my reception here and I'm hoping we get sat at a table off to the side so she is not weaving between us.

We're planning on having our welcome breakfast the day before the wedding here, but we're concerned about getting a good time if we wait too long or go through the wrong channels.

One more silly question, how did they handle the tip with the Tables in Wonderland card? (18% for parties over 6 and the TIW card has the 18% automatically included.)

Depending on the size of your group you shouldn't have to go to the resturant. We had 20 and went thru group dining. Another disbride had over 30 and she DID have to go thru the resturant itself. I think it differs for each resturant. For our party of 20 in Japan, we couldn't go thru group dining and had to call the resturant itself. My advise is to be the first caller at your 90 day mark and they'll tell you where to go.

The tip was only added once. Remember, if another person in your party has a TIW card you can get it taken off ten more people.

I think someone was wondering this...If you have a group over..20 i think...you can only book the first seating (5:10) or last (8:45).
