Ohana Question

How is the character interaction at Ohana? Do Lilo and Stich sign autographs?

We did it about 4 years ago & I can't remember if they did or not? But I do remember the food being very good, & also the POG juice too.

Few weeks back the interaction was above average. Which is pretty good, average at WDW is very good. Lilo stole DD's Stich plush to play with it as she left for another family, gave it back a few minutes later. Both were great at trying to get DS, who was having an off morning, to go to them. Both sign autographs.

Not to drift too far onto a tangent, but doesn't the 'Ohana character breakfast have to dump Lilo and Stitch for Moana in the near future? Does anybody still care about Lilo and Stitch? "Moana" was a wonderful film and an enormous box-office success. Make it happen, Disney!

No. Just as Akershus didn't become a Frozen meal.

Yes. Because Stitch is pretty awesome. The shop at Poly does brisk business in Stitch plush.

That's pretty disappointing. "Lilo & Stitch" is a decent little film, especially for Disney animation during a pretty bleak stretch in the early 2000s. But it's now approaching its 15th birthday, and the Stitch character was so overused across the property.

The Stitch's Great Escape attraction appears to be on the way out. I wish Disney could be more nimble. The company should want to capitalize on the success of "Moana" -- it had already made nearly $162 million at the domestic box office heading into the weekend. Moana and Maui at 'Ohana seems like a natural fit. Maybe I'm alone in my feelings toward Stitch, but I'm tired of that little blue dude.

Moans is meeting at DHS as a face character. After the issues with either Maui Halloween costume, I will be surprised if they have a Maui greet any time soon, even as a fur.

'Ohana fills the tables just fine without bringing in a popular new character, so (much like @_auroraborealis_ mentioned with Frozen/Akershus) they don't need to make that change at all. She'd be great there, but I don't think Disney would put up that kind of money.

Realistically, they usually have 4 characters at most character meals. They're unlikely to cross the streams with Moana and put her in with other characters right now. Which leaves them with 1 character there right now, 2 if they tangle with the body tattoo issue.

I'm out of the loop on this one...what happened? I haven't even see the movie yet but I've seen the character and all his tats on the trailer.

Basically, they tried to sell a brown bodysuit with tattoos as a Halloween costume. Rightly got flayed for it.

It's unusual to have two human-type characters meeting as a mixed pair (fur/face). To do Maui, they'd need him to be a fur. Moana is already meeting as a face. I can't really think of a situation where someone met as a face and became a fur.
