Cant decide where to eat dinner on our MK day. We have done Ohana and loved it. Not sure about WC though? Never ate there so I am learning towards something new but not sure how it stacks up. Any thoughts? We would probably order the skillet for the family at WC. How does that work with the kids?

Which would guys choose?

Ohana. You know that you like it.

Hey I’m from Boston too, go Bruins

This is a hard question as both give you lots of food as well as having some excitement for the kids. It really depends on what you want.

Whispering Canyon is fun, the skillet is has lots of different things and the cast members can really make it memorable. I’m not sure how they charge for the skillet for kids on the DDP.

Ohana has hula lesson and coconut races and lots of grilled meat.

If you have done Ohana before why not try Whispering Canyon? It’s different and it can be fun. The first time we went I “took one for the team” and asked for ketchup, my son loved seeing his dad get “goofed on.”

We did WCC for dinner in December and LOVED it. Best service of anywhere we ate during our stay. We are kind of shy and reserved and our server still had fun with us without being TOO crazy. And it was completely evident she picked up on our personalities right away, because the table next us were obviously super fun/outgoing and she gave them the full "WCC" treatment. Which we enjoyed... from a distance. Heh. :)

The skillet was awesome and TONS of food. The milkshakes were OUTSTANDING (and included on the DDP). We can't wait to go back this fall!

If you've already tried 'Ohana, I'd go for something new. I don't think you'll be disappointed at all.

We always eat at both of these restaurants on each trip. Our favorite is Ohana. My DH loves WCC, but he would still say he loves Ohana more!

Is there any way you can do both, but on different days? We always do WCC for lunch on our MK day, but we do Ohana on one of our resort days. It's always fun spending the day at the pool or water park, then getting dressed up to go to Ohana.

I probably cant do both. We have the rest set and the kids picked Teppan Edo and Rose and Crown, we have breakfast at Cape May and the Clam Bake because my Dad has never tried it and DH and DD LOVE it. We are pretty much all set.

It sounds like WCC is where everyone thinks we should go?

Hmm tough both have GREAT food, service, and atmosphere. Just a heads up Whispering Canyon is slightly like 50's Primetime Cafe where the waiters are kinda wacky and out there. Which is fun and it's MUCH more toned down than the cafe thats for sure but it came as a shock to my family and our friends when we went! We had no idea!!! :lmao: If you ask for ketchup all the waiters yell out "KETCHUPPPPP!" and grab all of the bottles around the dining room and place them on your table.

So glad we saw this before we asked for it, my best friend sneakily grabbed a bottle from an empty table next to us. We aren't the kind of people who like being in the spotlight like that. So I suggest you base your decision on what kind of experience you're looking for.

IMO if you have done Ohana's b4 try WCC. We have gone and it was tons of fun the wait staff is really funny and they have pony races for the kids. When we went it was fathers day and they had my DH stand up w/ all the other men and do some silly dance in front of every1 (which the kids loved!!)

So if you want to try something new give it a try

We think they both have great food and entertainment....the waitstaff at WCC is a hoot with all of their antics :thumbsup2. I think you should give WCC a try since you've already been to Ohana.....WCC is alot of fun and the skillet is awesome :goodvibes.

I guess I will be the dissenter, LOL.

We went to both on our last trip. The food was okay at WCC but fatty. Our server was not fun and did not seem to be in the spirit of WCC. We had a very boring evening with mediocre food. ALthough we are staying atWL next trip we have no plans to go to WCC.

Our meal at O'Hana's was excellent-food was great, lovely view, and a nice dining experience. We are heading back again next time as long as we can get our reservations!

I have to agree with the previous poster. We ate at WCC last year, frist time we had been back in a few years. Our server went MIA, never saw her after she took our drink orders until we got our check. Others brought our food, the salad is the best part IMO. Not fond of the food there and there was no excitement or fun going on when we were there. We never got any drink refills and were so thirsty by the time we could flag some one down for some water. My son asked for a refill on his bottomless milk shake and of course never got it. Over all just not a fun time for us and we did not care for the skillet. Give it a try though since you have been to Ohana', but for us it's back to Ohana' this year.

And on the other side of the coin…. My DW will never allow us to go back to Ohana. The last time we went our server, or as my DW called her, “that blonde floozy,” attended to my needs by bringing me extra napkins, refilling my drink, asking how everything was, etc. but totally ignored my DW the entire meal. After dinner this of course lead to DW saying “don’t you dare leave a big tip” and me asking “Why? My service was excellent.”

As much as I love Ohana, I think you should try WCC. I loved the entertainment there and food wasn't bad. Always good to try something new because you might end up loving it more than Ohana!:thumbsup2

This is soooo tough b/c these are hands-down my favorite Disney restaurants. But when it came time to plan our next trip, we realized we couldn't do without Ohana. Food is just too good and we love the atmosphere (WCC for breakfast and lunch to make up for no dinner there - best of both worlds, hehe).

I'd go Ohana.
