Going to be in disney in may with another family. have all my ADR's made but I'm still going back and forth between 'ohana or whispering canyon cafe. Haven't been to either for dinner. hoping i can get some help deciding!

Our fam definitely likes WCC better. The skillet and the milk shakes makes the day.

We're for Whispering Canyon as well! The food is better and the fun just can't be beat!

Another vote for WCC(a vote I can actually get behind:P)! Don't forget to ask for ketchup!

I like both and do not have a strong preference for you over the other. Why not do both!!!!!

What are your plans for after?

Ohana overbook, run late, and have so-so service levels. If you have plans for after dinner, you need to be very generous with your scheduling for time. WCC is going to be more on-time.

I don't think you could go wrong with either. I have been to 'Ohana multiple times and our experiences have been very good to great. I have never been been to WC, but close friends went last week and rave about it.

What type of food and experience interests you more: a playful waitstaff, western theme, and comfort foods...or entertainment during dinner and games for the kids, polynesian theme, grilled meats/wontons, and that incredible bread pudding?

Where would you rather spend your time beforehand/afterwards? Both resorts are beautiful and have lots to offer.

As someone mentioned before, keep in mind that 'Ohana can be kinda crazy during the dinner hours. The upstairs area at the Poly where people are waiting (and waiting) is crowded and frustrations can run high. Saw this myself last week and was so glad we were just passing through to get to the outdoor bar! For an 'Ohana meal, I'd schedule something earlier or later to avoid the mess.

I would also consider travel as a deciding factor. Is either one more convenient than the other?

WCC. Have done both and prefer WCC and am planning on trying the 10 gallon hat dessert this time

We love both of them. They both are fun. At Ohana our kids love the coconut races. We love the singing. We always have a great time at Ohana. We also love WCC. It is so much fun but definitely depends on the server. If Paul is still there - he is fantastic. There are some people that don't like the teasing antics. They actually have a paper disc that they put on the table - you turn it over depending if you want to play or not. We love it - but there are some people that don't like the antics. Like straws and napkins being thrown at you. Paul was so much fun we put him in our April 2015 Family Disney video - the link is below. He is in the video several times and at the end actually sang a little. It is a fun place.

So if I had to pick I don't know it I could for you - it really depends on the atmosphere that you want. You won't go wrong with either - they are great places.

Thanks for all the advice! Its much appreciated! This is for a mid vacation day which is going to be more relaxing. sleep in a little, do the waterpark and then have dinner. And we will have had 3 character dinners by this time so I think I'd like something a little less interactive! Hahahahahahah! I may try to squeeze both in! Maybe a breakfast ressie!

GREAT VIDEO! THANKS FOR POSTING!

You are very welcome. We had so much fun at WCC that we went twice on that trip and Paul was so willing to be in our video. But we also do love Ohana.

We love those kind of days at Disney. It is great to be very active but love when we can take a day or 2 to relax. Enjoy where ever you end up going.
