We are staying at the Poly for the first time this November.. plan on eating dinner at both Kona and Ohana but was wondering which would be better for breakfast?
I am leaning more towards Kona for the variety. but was looking for input. Thank you!:thumbsup2

Oh, my! There is just no comparison, IMO...Kona is so very much better than 'Ohana for breakfast!!! First of all, you can order a French press of Kona coffee. You can order macadamia nut pancakes or the famous Tonga Toast. There are several other entrees that are just top-notch. With 'Ohana there is just nothing special at all, as far as the food. Blah!

I voted Kona too. We LOVE the Tonga Toast. Now, apparantly, you can get it at Cap'n Cook's and you can get it at Ohana for a small upcharge, so if that's why you want Kona, maybe try Ohana.
But we love Kona - french press of Kona cofee, Lillikoi juice (which is really POG juice), tonga toast, mac nut pancakes. YUM!

I prefer the food at Kona. I don't typically enjoy character meals, so I have little interest in 'Ohana.

I think the kids would enjoy 'Ohana more. It's a fun character meal and the kids do a cute parade around the room. :stitch2:

Kona has great food. Friends of ours say this is their favorite place to eat at WDW. We ate there once years ago and really enjoyed it. It is on the list for our next trip.

Ohanas has not so good food and quick character interactions. We would not go back.

It depends on what you're looking for - if you want the best food then go with Kona. If you are looking for a fun character meal with Mickey, Pluto, Lilo & Stitch (Pluto & Stitch are hilarious!) & good food served family style (mickey waffles, eggs, bacon, sausage, fruit, breakfast breads, biscuits, etc.) then go with Ohana.

Thanks guys..
I think we are going to go with Kona.. we are looking for good food! :thumbsup2

We absolutely loved both. The food was better at Kona, as we had variety, plus the coffee is awesome! Ohana had better service and it was a great time to see the characters without the rushing. We were there for a while, just enjoying some sit down time, the environment, and the food. I think it is by far the best character interaction on property.

If you want character interaction and have kids than Ohana's would be the choice but for me I personally Love Kona's for both Breakfast -Lunch or Dinner. In fact I have made plans for my up coming trip for both Breakfast and Dinner. Ohana's food is not all that good and service is not all that great IMHO.

With kids I would pick Ohana. The food is very good and the characters are fun. You can get the Kona pressed pot there too :)

We're staying at the Poly also in Dec for the first time and I couldn't decide which one we should do for which meal. :) Thanks for posting the poll.
